Better Support Here Than at Home
Do any of you find that you get better support from people here than people in your life? I do.
My husband is supportive, but he also has a strong aversion to advertising. Neither of us are big consumers, prefering a simple life.
He doesn't really understand what I am doing. He doesn't drag me down or anything but he dosn't get excited when I start talking about a blog post I am working on. I feel like when I say, "just wait until I am making money online" he thinks, "I'll beleive it when I see it".
My sister in law has no interest in even looking at my site, my mother in law just has no clue about what I am doing.
I am thankful to have WA. I am happy to be a part of a communtiy that knows exactly what I am going through. I can share my frustrations and my wins with people who actually care.
Do any other people feel this way?

Many of us go through that. The question is....do YOU believe in this and yourself (ps, the answer should be yes). If so, then do NOT let them bring you down. When people don't understand something, it's easy for them to bring act negatively. The best thing you can do is keep doing what feels right to YOU.
Hi Andrea, I do get support from my fiance and he actually reads or listens to me read to him everything I write. He actually shared how after reading things I wrote he was able to understood it all better. But he is the only one I get support from. My best friend has said she can't believe you can really make money doing this. So I agree with you, it is great to have this community! :)

Don't let it get you down - my wife's an accountant - very tech savvy - as a dutiful wife, she would look at what I am doing, but that's it. She is just not interested.
The people I interact with - to them this is an alien world.
I don't let it get to me - It's just the way life is

A big YES! My husband is the same, first see it... My mother and the one in law are both 87 and totally digibeet, my sisters do not even care a bit, and keep on buying stuff from internet, NOT using my banners, and my children are thinking, oh mom has another project, it will fly by:)
yes I think a lot of us feel the same way and it is because they are not involved with what we do all the best
Yes you are not alone many here would be going through so many of the issues you have mentioned above.
Family are probably the worst critics to have but know that you are what is important for this to succeed.
Having family support is great but you are the one who will make is greater.
Don't focus on proving them wrong so that can believe focus on making it right for you and then you will succeed.

My husband, a fish in water with technology, will not have anything to do with this. My Mom opposes the use of computers and especially of the internet. When this business becomes successful, I can devote more time to her instead "Sorry , Mom, I have to work."
Today I am at home with an intestinal bug. My husband is recuperating from a similar bug. So he stayed home with me. He will have to risk getting "flack" because some errands have to be done.
When this business gets going and we can leave our jobs, that will not be an issue.
Why can't they see that??
