I must be doing something right!

On a whim, I decided to do google searches for all my article keywords. I am pleased to say that every one of my articles are not only on the first page of Google but most of them are in the top three! Checking Google Analytics, I am getting traffic (although I must admit I don't know how to interpret that data yet).

AND an article that I wrote and posted this morning was in the number one slot tonight! Booyah!

Actually the only article that didn't rank well (couldn't find it on the first three pages) was an article I wrote for Street Articles! I used the same techniques to write it but whatev....!

So write on, my friends. Write on.

Hello Divazona. Could you please tell me how you got your articles ranked so highly. Do you earn from them?

I've got the same question here... Us fellow WAers can use any tips we can get ... :)

Hi! Honestly, the "secret" is no secret. I have done exactly what the training here at WA has told me to do:

1. I find low competition keywords that I research using Jaxxy.
2. I use those keywords in the title of my post and in the first paragraph of the post.
3. I write high quality content in the sole interest of my potential readers.
4. My posts are usually over 500 or 600 words.
5. I try to add at least 3 if not more articles a week.
6. I share my posts on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+ as well as LinkedIn, Digg and Delicious

The key is just to keep at it. The more high quality content with low competition keywords you have, the more Google will "like" you.

I have yet to see the money roll in but my site is pretty young. I only started it about six weeks ago and I only have 26 articles. But I am getting traffic and the more I add, the more traffic, the more my public will trust that I know what I am talking about and they will buy what I suggest they buy.

Sounds great! Yes, traffic is the goal at this point...
I did take a look at one of your sites - I too often get distracted with checking out other sites that I lose time working on mine, but it's always good to see what has been successful and to learn from that.
In any case, I noticed that you are a professional, experienced music teacher. I am from Toronto, CA moving to Palo Alto, Ca this Sunday, G-d willing and would love to find a violin teacher there. Not sure where you're from, but I figure I'd ask to see if you have any connections.... :)
I have been taking violin lessons on and off for a few years several years back, but was never satisfied with my teacher. I wanted her to teach me to 'hear' the music as I am not very musical instead of simply relying on notes and tuners...
I spent last year volunteering in Russia and figured I'd take advantage of the spare time I had, as well as the ridiculously low prices for a music teacher (I paid about $110 for 2 hours of violin and 1 hours of piano per week!) and I was very, very happy with the results. I feel like I have really made progress and (after a year's break) I would love to continue the momentum.
Any suggestions?

What I would do is go online and do a google search for "violin lessons in palo alto, CA". You should see a list of teachers who have websites that you could peruse and it will also lead you to some of the teacher directory sites that list several teachers by instrument and geographic location. I actually wrote a whole post on my site about how to find a private music teacher. Check it out:

Good luck!

Good job, Well done!!!

Thank you!

This is really great Regina! Your hard work is paying off. If you can achieve top 3 rankings in Google you are going to get 80% of the clicks from people searching these keywords. Never stop publishing content on your site because with each post you extend your reach and build upon your existing framework. Getting top rankings like this will become easier and easier as your site gains popularity in the eyes of Google.

Google analytics will tell you all about your visitors and what they are doing on your website so it's a very powerful tool to use. We've got lots of training on Google analytics here at Wealthy Affiliate, and familiarizing yourself with your own Analytics account is always a solid way to learn too.

Great work on getting these rankings, you're on the way up!!!

Thank you so much, Carson. I am writing and writing and writing. I am glad that I am ranking well and hopefully that will convert into $ soon.

Good for you Regina. Hard work and research pays off. I am happy for you.

Thanks, Rebecca! Steady work....and more work....and more...... :)

thats great news, well done....

Thank you!

Even my articles don't rank well with SA. I am pulling them off SA and posting them on my site,

That's an interesting idea, Chris. My article with Hubpages ranked very well but the two for street articles, not so much. Makes me wonder why. Deleting from SA and reposting them wouldn't be a "duplicate content" no-no? If not, I may consider it.

I don't think so. I pull out my article. Wait 10/15 days and then post them on the site. By that time, according to CopyScape, there is no other content like it anywhere.

A lot of articles for a lot of people are not ranking with SA. I don't know why really. :/

My toast to you. Let's Celebrate!

Tequila for everyone!

If you are in to that sort of thing..... ;)

Doing the right things is a good thing keep it up congrats

Thanks so much!

You seemed very well organized through the last blogs I've read of yours since I've been here. I'm not surprised at all keep up the good work.

Ryan

Thank you so much! Encouraged by all of the success stories of the people here at WA!

How many articles did you write in total? Is Google Analytics free? Congrats on your first page achievements. I just wrote another article for street articles.

Hi! Thanks! I have 25 articles on my site so far. And yes, Google Analytics is free. You can sign up for an account and submit any of your websites at http://www.google.com/analytics/. Once you've signed up for an account and submitted your website, you will get a tracking code. You can put that tracking code into the All in One SEO and also I downloaded a plugin in called "Google Analytics for Wordpress." That program automatically adds the tracking codes into every page of your site.
