I haven't died!
Hello all!
I just wanted to let you know that I am still alive! I've been on a hiatus over the last month or so for many reasons - one, I got married! Two, it is audition season and I have been working on promoting my singing career. So, my work on my websites has been put on hold. My Google analytics numbers haven't really slipped that much so that is encouraging but it is time to get back on the wagon and start writing again!
The astonishing thing is the amount of spam Akismet has caught since I left. After three weeks of no activity on my site, I have received approximately 300 spam comments! Unbelievable! So word to the wise, if you have not activated Akismet on your site, do so immediately!
Thank you to everyone who has newly followed me in the past month! I think I have personally thanked you on your profiles! I promise I will be more present in the future. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments!

Congratulations! I wish you much happiness. Getting away from your online business is probably good. Gives you a rest from it and some objectivity. I also have been away from WA because I've been so busy designing and growing my business, all complicated by health issues. Akismet is good. Can't believe all the nonsense people will post if they can get away with it. Good to see you back.
You do what you need to do! Congratulations on getting married, and I hope your singing career goes well. It is probably the ideal place to be, being able to build it over time and not having to push it too hard to make an income so the quality will probably shine through as a result.
I have had quite a bit of spam too (nothing anywhere close to 300 though!) but I have all comments set to be moderated so it isn't really a problem. If the visits are helping the site get ranked higher I'm happy to let them keep trying, it's only a matter of bulk deleting them every so often.

Seems many of us have taken a pause to change and return with so much to do. Still trying to reach the below hundred mark in reading blogs and discussions. Continue to be amazed at spam numbers too. LOL.
