A Little Burned Out And Possibly Starting Starting A New Venture

Hey guys, I just sat down to create a post for my website and was just hit with an out of the ordinary writer's block. I love my website so far and I've put a lot of time and effort into and it hasn't gotten to the point I would like it to as yet meaning that it doesn't cover the cost of WA as yet.

I also wanted to start a website for some time now on a topic that I really love and it truly is exciting to me but I'm not quite sure if now is the time especially since I wouldn't be able to buy a domain as yet. If you're reading this and is the niche of travel, please let me know how your site is monetized and how it has gone for you.

This has me very torn. I do really like the make money niche but I want to start this new venture but I really think it may be best to make my first site successful before starting this new direction.

What do you guys think I should do? Also I'd love if you visited http://yourathomebusiness.com/ and offer me some feedback on what I could do better.

Hey buddy

If I get writers block, I have a couple of go-to articles - a quiz, or something a bit more personal - both I find easy to write with little effort. Or, you could try an "A-Z of Affiliate Marketing" - also fairly easy to do but good for word count.. let me know if you want more specific examples of these and I'll send you some links. You could even gather a list of resources for marketers, i.e. links to other authority sites in your niche and write a short sentence explaining each.

If you need more help finding blog topic ideas, have a look at this: Absolutely nothing to stop you starting a new niche site in siterubix, and when you are able to purchase a domain, you can switch it over :)

And, if you're questioning the design of your affiliate marketing site then you can always change theme and rebrand.. although it looks like you might have done that already as it's different to when I last looked at it? Keep changing it until you are happy and you love it.

Hope that helps a bit.

C

Hey Claire,

That sounds pretty interesting, I'd like to hear more about that A-Z of affiliate marketing.

Those tools are awesome, thanks for that.

I agree, nothing is stopping me but I don't think I could handle the longer wait haha. I'll definitely think about it for sure.

love your site. but for advice maybe ask someone that has been here for longer than me cheers Helen

Hi Diondree, I can see that you have been working hard. Kudos to you on that. Your site looks just fine for me. It may not be the best looking but what matters is the content and the value of information that you provide.

So you are into travel niche, well me too. I have just started a travel blog for fun with the intention to eventually monetize it of course. I have just wrote a blog post on it yesterday. Here is the link I have shared a lot over there, and also left a link on how do I plan to monetize my new travel blog. As always, content is our main priority, followed by building traffic, and only then we can capitalize monetizing opportunities.

Depending on your approach and angle, travel blogging can be pretty competitive. So if you can niche down some more, I believe you can get greater success.

Cheers & all the best!

Yea my design has left me questioning whether I want to keep it but as you said the content is much more important. I actually niched down very much I want to start a website about cruising on the carnival cruiselines. I am passionate about it and can see myself putting forward great effort and creating some great content.

All the best to you too.

That's a great niche to tap into. Good luck!

Yea I'm really excited about it. Thanks!

Hi Diondre, your site looks great. Maybe you could do a post about how you can travel and make money with WA. (your home business can be ran from any location). You can use your knowledge about travel here. I think you should keep developing the site you have, just for now. It is still early days yet and I think if you keep at it, it won't be long till you can breathe a little easier. My other advice would be to try and make it to Jay's webinars, or at least watch the replays. They are very helpful. You are doing great!

Hey Kerry, that's an interesting idea as well. I think I'll definitely try to do that. I plan to keep building out more content on my site for sure I'm just looking forward to when I can breathe easier.

I made it Jays webinar last week and I'm gonna make it tomorrow. I learned so much last week and I'm looking forward to what I can learn tomorrow

diondree, recommend you just take a step back and refocus. We all feel burned out from time to time. Your site is really good, give it a little time.

Hey Tony, thanks for the help. I plan to do that for sure. It seems to be the common recommendation and thanks for looking at my site.

you are welcome, success does not come easy.

I posted about feeling burned out just yesterday, so I feel your pain my friend. Just take a step back for a day or so, clear your head .

This isn't a race and we all work as different speeds and we all have different amounts of time we can put in.

I currently have my bootcamp site, a music site which I'm in the process of launching, plus 2 clients who I'm helping to promote their sites, so I'm burning the candle at both ends really.

Your website looks really nice, so you're obviously very capable. Perhaps by running a niche site, it may provide you with fresh ideas and direction that you could take your current site.

Yea I read your blog you posted yesterday. You definitely have some work in front of you.

I'm really looking forward to starting the niche website but ive decided I'll start the niche site eventually but only after my current one starts to take off whenever that may be.

Good luck to you, you'll know when the time is right, try not to let the impatience get the better of you :)

Thanks alot man. I'll definitely try not :). Good luck to you with all thats ahead of you and I hope things continue to get better for you with maybe not as much work tho haha.

Thanks a lot, if you need any help feel free to ask. But I think your site looks great, just keep building it out.

Seeing you are feeling a bit burned out, perhaps a motivational section to your site could help? There's loads of research on that subject for you to come up with ideas to write about which is very relative to your current direction.

Hmm thanks that's a great idea I'll definitely give that a shot. That will help me and then I'll be able to help others better. Yea I like it.

Glad to be of some help to you :)

I'm in a very similar position to you. I'm doing the boot camp and have a make money website which I've been building for 3-4 months. Also started a travel website which is on hold until I get a few referrals. Hopefully I get some in the next 2 -3 months so I can get back to the site I enjoy more.

Wow its absolutely crazy just how similar the position s we are in. It's clear that I really should focus on the bootcamp site until the more referrals come.

That would be my advice. The problem with many of us, including me, is patience. I want to see results but I now understand it takes time.

Yea patience is an issue. I thought I had it but clearly not enough of it. It definitely takes time.
