Almost Friday

It is Thursday evening...almost Friday!

Where has the week gone? I didn't accomplish half of what I had intended?

Have you ever felt that way? I know I have. Often.

Sure, I had an excuse this week. That hacker thing I wrote about. If you missed it, check it out here.

and then I followed up with some other information here:

I had intended to complete the training for how to craft a great intro paragraph. I pushed that to next week. I'm sorry but I just ran out of time. And steam.

A few other "good intentions" were also tabled for the week. They, too, will happen. But not today. Not this week, for most of them.

But life continues...

I needed to get the security issues resolved. 100% resolved. And I did. Well, with a lot of help from site support and my amazing techy sons and my web manager. Ok, they did most of it. But I did some...ok, a little.

With those behind me (I hope) I started back to work on the sites. They take work at this stage. I know that eventually I will have more time between but for now, they are work.

But it's work that I enjoy. Most of it.

And the parts I don't enjoy (social media, I'm looking at you!) I've hired out. What a relief it is to know that those functions are being done and being done well and on schedule. Left to my devices, they would not be so well kept.

My new furkid takes some of my time. In fact, all the furkids do. But that's my fun. Some people play video games. Some listen to music or watch a favorite TV show. Others eat or go out with friends.

Me? Outside with the furkids. They are my stress relief, my psychologist perhaps.

Puppy (almost named--coming soon!) will be getting her first haircut soon!

What's your stress relief? When you need to disengage from the work and take a break, what do you do?

Please leave a comment below -- I'd like to hear from you!

You did have a busy week. You still got a lot done, even though it might not have been what was originally on your list.

Often, we think we have not accomplished what we set out to do, only to find out (if we make a list) that we accomplished as much or more, just in a slightly different direction.

My stress relief has always been to escape into a book. However, now I find myself needing to fit more exercise into my day, so I may have to look at audiobooks and walk more.....

Alex

I'm in the same way of thinking, Alex. I love reading but need to get up and move more. I haven't done much with audio books yet, though I have some saved for future enjoyment. Maybe it's time to listen to a few.

I have tried audio books in the past I find I can never get the right tempo for listening. I find them to be read too slowly. I will try again soon.

I spend some with the family to relieve stress.

That's great, Muslimah! Yes, family time is usually part of my routine, too.

My stress relief is bike riding, preferably with a decent hill in the way.

That sounds like a great way to work off stress! My knees won't take bicycling anymore but it certainly offers exercise with fresh air.

I usually try to find something on Netflix, Hulu, or Prime Video. That is how I relax. I don't usually start doing that until 9 or 10 PM.

It is relaxing.

Barbara

That does sound relaxing, Barbara. Our family usually convenes for a show or two in the evening, too.

As I live alone with my 2 furkids I am the only one responsible for all of our entertainment.

Have a great weekend with all of your furry kids, not your mention your human family too!

Barbara

Hi Diane...I'm glad you got your security issue resolved. That is important for sure. My stress relief is either going for a walk, listening to music, having an ice-cold beer, or writing my articles/ blogs. Watching an action movie also helps for sure!

I like that you have several diverse methods--I'm sure that helps keep life balanced. Walking and music work for me, too!
