The Fun Continues.

No Sarcasm Intended

It's true, the past weekend was filled with stress and anxiety as I fretted over the results of a hacker, virus, or whatever name I chose at the moment. I had a few and none of them were nice. I was angry, mad (at myself, too, for not having even more security) sad, concerned...so many emotions.

Monday and Tuesday found me dealing with upgrading security functions, finding plugin that were incompatible with the new security, and...oh so many other issues.

Thanks again to Site Support who quickly resolved the plugin issue!

Once again, I sing their praises!

But truly, the fun does continue. Nope, I'm not being sarcastic!

Oh, I didn't get much done today. Not as much as I had hoped, at least. In fact, this week has been quite a setback to my always over-optimistic list that never seems to get caught up.

No worries!

My sites are all up and running. I've come up with a few more article ideas. In fact, the worry time gave me a few extras!

And I had time to play with the new pup. As you can see here, she's exhausted after playtime!

Yes, that's her in her little bed, tired feet in the air and head tucked under. Comfortable!

So, with my little furkid tucked into her bed for a nap, I'm back to the computer. The Golden Boys and my Marshmallow are napping right next to me. Victoria, my ruby cavalier, is stretched out on her dog bed with her sister, Artemis.

Life is Good!

I've learned quite a bit from these past few days. My patience was tested. And that proved worthy. My sense of humor? Well, that might need a boost next time around. But I learned more about site security. Terms like "Limiting login attempts" and "White Listing IP addresses" are now solidly within my vocabulary. What a difference a week makes!

But thanks to Site Support, a great web manager, and my very techy sons, I am back to my websites!

Hi Diane,

I know how you feel when your site feels like (and does) it's crashing down before your eyes. I went thru a really bad period with my site over the first 2 weeks in July. It really set me behind in productivity and reduced my traffic. It is really depressing when that happens. With Richard's and Site Support's help, my site is working much better now and I am trying to produce articles as frequently as possible, which for me means possibly 3 per week. I still find writing and thinking up things to write about very difficult. Then when you add in trying to find keywords that don't have high-authority sites dominating the first page of Google--it really is time-consuming.

I'm happy to hear that your sites are back up and running! That is really great!

And your little girl is soooo cute !

Barbara

It sounds like you went through quite an ordeal, Barbara. I'm glad you had help through it.

It's true that keyword and even topic research can take time. Keep at it, though, and the rewards are there!

And now...need to spend a few more minutes with my little cutie!

Have a great day!

She is really precious! I hope things stay working well for both of us now!

Barbara

Agreed! We'll just keeping plowing through and giving it our best!

Love the quote and am so happy to hear that your sites are up and running smoothly again!

I will never understand how miserable and boring someone’s life can be that they have to do things to others like they do. I guess the saying is right Misery loves company!

SiteSupport is truly outstanding! And it is nice to have techy kids! 😁

Yes, we are quite fortunate to have incredible site support and I feel truly blessed with kids who are techy and also so willing to take time to help their not-so-techy Mom. 😎

I agree--the hackers must have such a miserable life!

It sometimes takes a hard experience just to realise how vulnerable we can be in this world Diane...

Great to hear that everything is ok now and your new bundle of joy looks right at home!

Take care my friend!:-)

Thank you, Nick. Yes, we are quite vulnerable. It's been an eye-opening experience. I thought I knew security and I've certainly cautioned my kids for years. I guess we can never be too secure.

I hear you Diane, there is always something we can do to be more secure in all aspects of life... but where does it end?

I suppose it doesn't really end, although as we become better at the security, maybe we can ease up a bit.

Of course, home with my furkids is pretty safe and secure! 😍

Maybe Diane... but these hackers always seem to be one step ahead of the game!

Home with my furkid is the safest place for me! 🐶

Agreed! I am happiest at home with the family (including furkids)

Hi, Diane

Glad to hear you have everything resolved and your site security came out stronger as a result of your horrible ordeal. 😊

Frank

Thanks, Frank. I'm actually thankful that it was as small an issue as it was. It could have been diasterous.

Great to hear, Diane...your new addition is super adorable ;-)

Susan

Thank you, Susan. I think she's adorable, too!
