What is your favorite?
Happy Fall, Y'all! What is your favorite thing about fall, autumn or this time of the year?
For me, it's still pretty nice and warm around here in South Carolina, but I'm looking forward to everything that Fall brings!
Sunny days with beautiful fall leaves = my happy heart
Sweet, Ripe Apples = healthy treats and tasty desserts
Big and round, happy pumpkins = very happy kids carving jack o lanterns soon
A lot of my friends love the football games, although I'm not much of a fan. I will watch with my family but prefer to make the snacks! I love the cooler temps so that I have a reason to wear cozy sweaters.
I LOVE to cook and bake and have friends over too, so I'm planning on making some new recipes as well as some of our old favorites! We're actually going to be enjoying our family favorite this week... spicy chicken and rice with pecans. For dessert, I'll be making our traditional apple crisp - topped off with some creamy vanilla ice cream.
If there are a lot of you interested, I can post the recipes for you. Just let me know!
What are some of your favorite fall recipes, family traditional recipes or a recipe you've been looking for? Maybe I can help!
Looking forward to hearing from you and hope you're enjoying your fall day!

Sounds wonderful. Fall is my favorite season. My husband and I went apple picking with grandchildren and children and in-laws. What a joyful time. That's a favorite thing to do. Then Joe and I make apple pies and apple crisp and can apples. Oooh lala.
That sounds wonderful! I love to spend time with family doing those fun things! Thanks for sharing!!
That is so true, Debbi! We went to an apple festival with my parents and grandmother every year, growing up, that I just loved!
Pumpkins and butternut, I really liked them though I was told to stop them because of my sugsr level.
Sorry you had to stop eating them, but you've got to do what the doctor's ordered! :) They are a wonderful aspect of the fall! Maybe now you can display them and enjoy their beauty! I've seen people hollow out the top of the pumpkin or squash and put fall plants in them... very pretty!
For me right now its watching my son in Marching Band at the games. I used to follow football, but not so much anymore. Love the marching band though. 243 members in his band and they do a great job. :))
Marching band is so much fun! I did that in high school. My favorite event was the Christmas City of the North Parade... in the snow. That is one of the things I miss not seeing being in warmer temps now. I'm looking forward to when my son is old enough to participate in things like that.
I bet it's a lot of fun watching your son in the band! A great reason to watch a game. :) 243 members is an amazing number for a marching band, too! Wow!!
I have some wonderful videos of him that are on You Tube on Frank Smiths channel. He records a lot of the area High School band performances.
My son plays the Bassoon (since 5th grade) and plays the Saxophone for Marching band, Bassoon not aloud due to sun and water damage. Very expensive instrument.
It is fun and I enjoy watching him grow...and so fast..don't worry it goes by quicker than you think. :))
Color ... cool crisp breezes ... apples and pumpkins! Apple cider doughnuts ... with hot apple cider! M
Mmm! Apple cider donuts! I think we're going to be sampling some of that this weekend. And some hot apple cider too. :)
I like the changing colors of the trees, and the cooler air (I live where it is really hot).
I would love to see some recipes!
Have a great week. :)

Definitely interested. Love your photos. Spicy chicken and rice with pecans, sounds good. Can you use brown rice? My favorite time of year is Fall.
Yes, you can certainly use any type of rice you'd like! You can even put the spicy chicken on top of a salad. Thanks for the compliment too, I love taking photos! :)
