Is It the End of Summer?
Nothing like the changing temperatures to get you moving. Yesterday was overcast and cool, great for the forest fires. Today as you step out your door to the morning sun, you take a breath of fresh air, and all you get is the smells of a dampened campfire. Now the smoke has filled the skies and is blanketing the city. Mask wearing continues on the inside to help you breathe.
Days like this gets you to work on your blogs / website and keep the learning process fresh. May the summer weather and temperatures at least hold on for two months, to Halloween. This girl is not ready for another winter.
One answer to wanting shorter winters is the fact that Climate Change is real, with the thawing of earth's permafrost, causing warmer winters in Canada's North, movement of the houses; which causes structural damage.
As our youth get set to start a new year back in the schools.

Good points. "snow" is a four-letter word!
Seen all I needed and more. Enough is enough. Let's stay warm. Water (rain especially) runs away on its own. Snow (excuse me) has to be shoveled, plowed, sanded, salted and is in general, a pain in the neck, back and many other unmentionable body parts.

I love the snow, I magically regress to the age of 5 when I see it. But we hardly ever get snow any more, so disappointing
Honestly Denise, I have had enough of summer this year and welcome the cooler temperatures arrival sooner rather than later!
It's always hot here in summer, and no records have been broken due to the extreme heat (although they have been in many parts of the country), this year has just been relentless with very few cooler days in between..
winter here can have temperatures up to -50Celsius, if there is windchill even worse.
It is easier to dress for the cold than dress for the hot. Right now it's the smoke permeating my sinuses, and not in a good way
