It was Carl Jung who said you can't have a psychic experience without a spiritual awakening, and that we are the physical demonstration of our mental beliefs. Being that we are the physical demonstration or manifestation of our mental beliefs, it follows that we create our reality. Life is lived from the inside out, to believe otherwise makes you a victim.
Our reality is only our opinion, it may not be based on fact. Most if not all of us are addicted to our opinions.
It was in recovery I was told that it's through prayer and meditation that we maintain a constant contact with God. I found out I didn't believe prayer and meditation worked, consequently I didn't know how to meditate and I couldn't pray.
Who told you prayer and meditation doesn't work, they asked? Why would you believe something that runs counter to what every religious and spiritual leader down through time has believed?
Your afraid because you put more faith in evil then you do in God, they said, and you hide your fear behind anger. This fear and anger, keeps you from seeing, that your life is a demonstration of your beliefs.
Only a relative and fortunate few continue exploring the mystery of reality, ever enlarging and refining their understanding of the world and what is true. More would if they could overcome the addiction to their opinions.

I know I create my world with my thoughts David.
I also believe there is a universal mind that we all have access to should we choose to connect via meditation or when our brain waves slow..
I believe this is how two people on opposite sides of the world can come up with the same idea at the same time.
I don't believe in religion only in 'doing no harm and helping others whenever I can. I believe we are here to help each other'.
Apparently it was my dad's philosophy too but I had no idea until a couple of years ago when my stepmother told me.

I didn’t say it doesn’t work, I have heard many true stories that say otherwise. I just meant I am not into it. You are right though, it is much the same thing.
I truly believe that we are demonstration of our beliefs. And if we don't like what we see, we can change our personal reality by changing our personality. It takes effort and time but it's possible. I know myself.

I do, too, Dave. We focused on his DVD on physical healing, then did one of his meditation tapes. Working on improving my guy's health.
