Since WordPress has updated to WP 4.2.4 my profile picture has stopped displaying. Has anyone else had similar problems or a solution?
I left a comment on one of your posts, and my image shows. Make sure the correct email address connected to gravatar.com did not get lost in the update.
Thanks for the comment John. I have checked my Gravatar, all seem ok there. The problem seems to be intermittent as when I replied to your comment my profile picture appeared, maybe a WP glitch that will sort itself out with an update.

Referrals are only shown for about six weeks. How can I view the whole list so I can follow-up with encouraging comments to give them a need boost.
I see mine almost 2 years back, just wait a few seconds 'til the page reloads and SCROLL down
John
Thank's John, I still only see back about six weeks, it's always been like that and as new ones are added the older ones drop away.
Thank's John, I have been thinking about raising a support ticket, If I get no joy from that, then I will PM Kyle.
Click the black/white plane on top of the page. Then click "My Referrals" on top of that page.
Sorry,My referrals are actually one week shy of the 6 weeks you speak of. I wasn't aware they disappeared after 6 weeks

I have come across a plugin called HANDLL used for posting social networks such as tweets etc. It's not available via WP even tough it is a WP plugin. Is anyone using it and wha
I'm sorry, I've never used HANDLL... Sometimes I don't find plugins that are WP plugins, it's odd. What's special about this plugin? Did you need a plugin for social shares?
I came across HANDLL it look a good way to grab attention of my readers and am just curious about it, and don't know anything about it hence my question

I have had about 34 referrals sign up to WA and of these only two have completed their profile. I send out an encouraging note still nothing. What can I do to get them to make t
You can lead a horse to water but you can not make it drink. You will get a lot of looky loos or window shoppers just to see what all the hype is about but then they leave and never come back. Good luck
Are you tracking referral links? You might be able to look at your traffic sources for those signups. Did they come through a particular ad campaign, or your website via the search engines? The more targeted the audience, the better the conversions. ~Jude
Thank's Jude, great idea, I know there is a link tracker here at WA, I haven't used it, now I will definitely be learning about it and then be using it.
You sometimes try a lot, but others aren't buying, is when I felt cold and hurt sometimes. You can then go to COLLABORATION just like Kyle and Carson, so there are two persons, might be a better team for a trust, not sure is true, but you can do that if you can. You congratulate and encourage once and your team member follow up for twice. Have you heard of bug build a bird to scare a grasshopper, but then the bird is real at the end and the colorful bird eats the grasshopper. Sometimes team collaboration won't work, but there us always true collaboration at the end. Idea is from Disney's A Bug's Life movie.
I tell you what. I created a website, that I share psychic services, then I can direct money path to them and I direct them to wealth affiliate as well. now then if that's the case, i must TRUST that the service WA is good enough for my viewers.
Good luck.

Nothing. Once you send out the follow up message there is nothing more you can do. They will complete their accoints when they are ready if they ever are. Many just join out of curiosity.
Thank's Robert, you are probably right about curiosity, I guess more patience is a required on my part.
I think its a numbers game. Some people are attracted to the FREE part and perhaps when they realize that you need to actually do some work in order to learn how to build a business and /or they get distracted by some guru offering to do it for them they go else where. :)
Thank's Peter, I figured that. The question is what can I do to take the next step, short of doing it or paying for them, and that won't be happening.
OK ... So you are getting Traffic (Visitors) which is good . They are signing up - which is also good. They aren't staying (converting into sales) not so good. So the site is working (which is good) just not as well as you like.
So you either need lots more traffic and / or a better conversion ratio.
Assume it is the conversion ratio then what is it currently? (ask yourself is it good ) 10:1 100:1 1000:1 ??
Work on whatever aspect you feel needs to be improved. The traffic number or the closing ratio. Then when that improves work on the other.
:)
have you set up the automatic reply here in WA? this has been helpful for me with getting people to fill out their profiles
Thank's, I have been doing that and have tried changing the context a few times with different wording but it has no effect.

I have one post on my site that in the past few days is constantly being hit by spammers, why only the one post and not others? Is it because of particular keywords in the title
It's because of the exploit being discovered on that page for your comments plugin. If the hacker software is scanning post looking for a comment exploit and this post is the first one it cracks the code for then all spam using that same exploit will go to the same post or page.
I have made the post private for the time being, hopefully it will stop and I can make it public again.
It wont stop it because being private doesn't change the url but you can use plugins to secure your site. I like using S2 Member to control my members area, and encrypt the site, even puts a little badge showing the site is secured by S2 Member and then I run Wanguard, Akismet, and Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin. It has cut my number of spam registrations way down. Another great tool to use for fighting SPAM is to use a 3rd party service such as Disqus to handle comments.
I noticed that too but I really don't know why. I am thinking that once a spam comment or any comment has been left on a post, maybe it alerts the "spambots" and they are atrracted to go to that same post.??
I have been thinking the same, I would have thought Akismet or other security controls like captca would do the work better
I have a post like that too. My comments are moderated, though, so the spam comments never even show up on my website. I just go in there and delete them, like Kat said.
I suppose in a way it's pretty flattering. It shows that your page is being ranked. On the other hand, I agree with Rob. Spammers are lazy. I don't know about you, but I don't want anyone riding off of my hard work unless they're paying me substantial amounts of money.
Make sure that you have your comments set so that you moderate them yourself, or get someone else to do it. Don't have them set to be automatically posted. That way they going to your spam folder or at least most of them do and they can be deleted in bulk once a month
Thanks katkatskitchen, I always moderate them myself and delete them regularly, doesn't stop them, but I guess that's just one of the banes of having a website we must endure.
At the end of the day its pressing one delete button, the other alternative is to atop comments entirely
Yes, spammers also have the ability to target keywords within certain posts. I have one on my site as well that they isolate and spam on occasion. It's basically as if you do all of the work with your content and then a spammer will want to piggy-back on your traffic. It's lazy thinking. The best thing you can do is delete spam comments as quickly as you see them pop up to ensure the spammer gets no benefit. That's my take on it anyways. Good luck in your battle against spam, you are not alone!
Thanks, Rob I have changed the privacy control on that post and see how that goes for a few days

Sorry to hear that. I do not have that problem. Hope you can get it resolved very shortly.
