Return to WA after Losing my Hero

My time at WA has not really been straightforward. I joined as a free member in 2015 but did not upgrade to premium until April 2017. There are many reasons for this which I will not go into now. My main reasons for joining were my desire to work from home to take my children to school and have more control over my work life.

In December last year my Mum, Diana, was diagnosed with lung cancer so in April this year I upgraded. I had another incentive to work from home. To spend time with my Mum, who raised my brother and myself on her own. She was my hero, inspiration, mother, father, mentor and best friend.

I spent a while going through training and creating web pages but Mum deteriorated quicker than expected. I did not have the time to work, see Mum regularly, look after children and dedicate time to the training and websites. WA took a back seat.

Unfortunately Mum lost her battle with cancer on 15th September. I am never going to get used to her not being there but over time I will learn to cope. I have been extremely lucky to have such a strong and inspirational woman in my life. I just now need to find the strength to carry on without her.

Mum wanted me to be happy and she knew how important it was for me to find a way to become my own boss. She still knows and I believe she is watching me and supporting me still.

I am now going to resume my WA journey. I don't know where it will lead but I think I joined for a reason and this experience will lead me where I need to go.

I wish everyone all the best

Kind regards

Dawn

Things are going to be alright. I am so sorry for your loss. By all means, thank you for sharing this with the community. Sometimes, telling the story releases the pain.

So sorry about your loss. You are strong as you have had a strong role model. Take it slow and each day at a time. Big hug and best wishes for your future in being your own boss.

Hi Dawn,

I am truly sorry for your loss. She's with you always and only a thought away. You'll see her and feel her in so many things you think, do and say. Sending payers for healing and comfort.

Really sorry to hear of the loss of your mom Dawn. Know that she will always be with you and that she no longer has to suffer from you the effects of cancer. I wish you much success with your online venture. It is what your mom wished for you and I am confident you will be successful with it.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, Dawn. but as others have said and you yourself already know, she's still there, just a little out of sight, No one is ever really gone as long as they are remembered and loved.

Best of luck with everything.

Take care.

Hi Dawn, my condolences. Love has no boundaries, she's still there and with you, supporting you.

Hi Dawn, So sorry to hear about the loss of your mum and must be very difficult.

Its just getting your mind in the right state which will take time, but never give up

Mick

Dawn,
So sorry for your loss. As you said, she's still guiding you, just from a different location. WA will be a great way to focus on something positive. All the best with the training....one step at a time.
Debbie
