Google My Business October Stats!.
I thought I would share this post with you, because its related to the live training on this subject done by Jay a while ago and which I implented at the time
This is also for thsoe members who might be slightly newer
It shows the training works.
I should add at this point, that for my own reasons, some of the GMB sections could not be filled out, simply because they were not applicable to me
However, I did go ahead and apply the training because...
I wanted Google to Find my Business and at the same time raise awareness of what I do
I get a report evey month on the activity on the account, which if I am being truthful, I haven't taken much notice of
But this last report I have done.
Before I explain the results, let me say that I have a dreadful, or good habit call it what you will, that every time I use a business I tend to write a review on it, on Google Maps which I think is relate to Google My Business, though I am not 100% sure on it
Again that is done because on my GMB profile I have my freelance website and want people to know what I do
In the main I tend to forget about GMB
But this months stats have just come through to me and I am a bit stunned by them
Because, in the last 30 days views of my business have increased by 80%
That isamazing because I literally don't do anything to my profile at all its is just a bog standard profile, but in saying that, did have a strange conversation with a business owner the other day, who said to me
"Aren't you from XXXX business, Ive seen your picture and need to have a chat with you at some point because you seem to know about Local Business On Google"
I found it strange, but on getting in, found that it was me he was talking about and at some stage we are going to do business togther
So, if you are thinking about getting a GMB account, but not sure how it will go
Do it, Go for it and see what happens, I'm pleased I did
It should also be added that I didn't fully see how Jays Training in respect of this would help me at the time, though it was logical to follow and do, I am pleased I did.

I already use google maps for reviewing restaurants and businesses and have had over 30,000 views so this if it's free also would be good thank you 😎

It was also interesting this morning I googled my name and 1st result up was my GMB profile
If you have a bricks and mortar type business you should absolutely have a Google My Business listing.
Google looks at your website and the GMB listing in tandem and a really well optimised GMB listing usually moves you up the search results.
Quite apart from that, if you can get your GMB listing into the top 3 you will be on Page 1 of Google and will get visits to your website for sure.
