ALWAYS CHECK before pressing the button
Sometimes we just assume that what we see is correct, without actually checking or questioning things. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. No knowledge can be disastrous.
Like this guy here who worked for a Welsh council. Tasked with producing a direction sign in two languages, English and Welsh, he had no trouble with the English words. However, his Welsh language skills were not up to speed, so he decided to use the services of a natural Welsh speaker to help him.
He emailed his colleague with a request to translate the following β¦
No entry for heavy goods vehicles. Residential site only.
No problem with that, bang the button and the request is emailed over to him. Except that the recipient of the email was on holiday and had set up an auto-reply on his emails.
His automated response was received and the sign duly printed, as below.

I am out of the office at the moment. Please send any work to be translated.
This was email, but I have seen this happen with the developing AI world, where people do not check what AI bots are telling them before declaring it as βall my own workβ Always look at your finished product before pressing the upload button. Too many boo-boos like this and you could lose credibility and potential purchasers.
Enjoy the day folks.

Good point!
A friend of mine just posted on his social media that he had just purchased two more domains. One was for a new site he has planned. The other was because he neglected to double check his spelling when he selected the domain.
A second look is always a good idea!
Oh no. So easily done when 10 seconds of checking would avoid this.
Good point.
Hope you are well.

I have a white curtain on one of my browsers vs a button, lol Unable to resolve the issue.
You are right; cross-reference findings are a MUST.
It happens to all of us Abie. we know how you felt today with the problems, but nothing we could say would help. Sometimes you just have to put these things down to "another training experience."
I'm not surprised, pistachio is one of those exceptional flavours.
I need more. Did you save me any.
Have a great day Abie
