The Lovely Macbook
Recently, my Macbook charger failed on me. This really scared me because I get on Wealthy Affiliate everyday to do my online work. I wasn't completely shook by the situation because I had a HP as a backup, but everybody who owns a Mac knows nothing compares. I have ordered my charger, but I'm having trouble with screenshot with the HP. The Mac makes it so simple. Im creating posts with no pictures right now until the charger is delivered. I agree the Mac is the best laptop. My daughter has a Mac and she loves it! I want to get one myself. I have an ipad mini and iphone. Now just need a mac.
Ok at the cost of sounding stupid, does Apple make MAC? lol I am hoping to be able to get a new laptop next year if not sooner. I keep hearing everyone talk about how great MAC is.What can you tell me that makes MAC so much better than my HP?
I ask the apple question because I refuse to ever get an iPhone. I used to do tech support and they gave me the biggest headaches.
I love my iPhone. I put it off for years and wish I hadn't. If I get a MAC (Yes, it's Apple), then I can tie them together. I didn't get an iPad for a tablet because I wanted MS Office so I got a MS Surface Pro 2. Now that's out of commission. You get problems with every brand, Angela!
I may go for a MAC if I can see it has more to offer. But I will never have an iPhone. I am a Samsung and Motorolla girl forever.
I bought a Mac when it was time for me to get a new laptop about 2.5 years ago. At the time, I was doing a bit of graphic design and had heard that the Macs are much better for that (they are!), but it turned out the program I was familiar with, isn't compatible with the Apple products and I really haven't seen any major advantages with the MacBook.
I will say that while it's not impossible, viruses are definitely harder to come by which is fairly nice.
Then again, I just have not had the best experience with my laptop, but I think it is my laptop in particular and not all Macs as a whole...
They are fairly expensive and I would say for simple web browsing and writing and WA, etc... it isn't necessarily a necessary decision to get the Mac. There's definitely a whole lot of hype surrounding Apple.
What I do like is that I have an iPod and iPad and all these products sync together which is really nice.
Thank you. That was what I was looking for. :) I will also be doing my own research but wanted to hear from actual owners at WA as well.
Everyone has their preference, even me. Like I said, I will NEVER own an iPhone but that is my preference. I don't have anything against Apple, just the iPhone lol.
Darius, I work on an HP laptop all the time. Easiest snipper is the Snipping Tool. Click on the Start button in the lower left corner. Then click on "All Programs." Scroll down till you see Accessories. It's in there. You can also get a free download of Monosnap, which has a lot more features, but I'm always using the Snipping Tool. My next laptop will be a Mac.
Yeah, I fixed it myself. Had to take everything off from a couple of days ago, then scan, clean and remove a few things. Once I had it cleaned and running, had to reinstall a few things and. . . . just six hours later. . . VOILA! LOL I'm very relieved and trying not to break my arm from patting myself on the back.
Darius try Picpick for your HP. It is easy to use and let you save anything on your screen.
Very relieved I had this backup lol. But yes, I find the Macbook to be the best laptops on the market. Thanks for the feedback too Jason!

I had the same thing happen a few months ago - not exciting. I actually ended up taking it to an Apple store because I wasn't sure what was wrong. When they diagnosed the charger as being faulty, they told me that I had to get my replacement through Best But (where I bought the MacBook), but advised me to buy on the spot from Apple in the meantime, and as soon as I got my replacement, to just bring it back for a return, no questions asked.
That didn't sit right with me - I'm an honest person and value integrity - and I told them as much, but they assured me that Apple takes customer service seriously and that it would be perfectly ok, so that's what I did.
It really saved me from waiting till I was able to get my new one from Best Buy! Might be something you'd want to consider...
