All Newbies Please Read-Non Newbies Can As Well

First off I want to say that this post is going to be mostly directed at the newbies in our wonderful Community we call Wealthy Affiliate

At any time newbie or not please feel free to comment and add the things I’m obviously going to miss. Okay, here goes.

Lots Of Newbies Here

Okay, I don’t really like the word newbies so let’s change that to something like new members to Wealthy Affiliate.

First off I want to say it seems like there are a lot of new members and that makes this place even more exciting. I’m guessing a lot of the new members are here from the Black Friday sale but how they got here at this point really isn’t relevant.

I guess I should say a big fat welcome and I can’t wait to get to know all of you inside the community.

In this post I want to give you a very generic explanation as to what you should expect here in the months to come.

I hope you get a good read out of this and I hope it helps you get through your first year.

How Did You Get Here?

You all know how you got here. Maybe it was from someone directly at Wealthy Affiliate. Maybe it was a google search. Either way you got here because you are looking to make money online.

We all have a common goal. It’s just some of us have been here longer and that’s okay because you can make money and will make money as long as you believe in what you are doing.

The Honeymoon Phase

I see so many new members coming to Wealthy Affiliate and they are so excited. They have a new lease on life. They are going to answer all their financial goals and the world will be a great place.

They take off like crazy for the first month and usually second and up to the third. They go through training, they ask questions, they write content on their new websites.

The new members are sure that very soon Wealthy affiliate is going to change their lives. Pretty soon money will be coming in hand over fist even though that is never promised anywhere.

The Cool Down Period

This is the time when new members start to question as to why not more isn’t happening. They wonder why they aren’t making any money yet.

Heck they have ten posts on their blogs, they are getting a couple visitors a day but nothing is happening.

They start to get frustrated. They start doing les work. They even start to think they have been scammed. Many of them start coming to the community all upset because they aren’t making any money yet.

The Blame Game

No exact number but likely around the 6 month mark if they haven’t quit already chances are that’s not far away.

Now they are blaming everyone because according to them Wealthy affiliate isn’t really what it claims to be.

They still only have ten blog posts on their blog and still aren’t making money but by this point they have given up and are once again online looking for that next big thing that is going to make them rich.

Take It From Someone Who Knows

If any of you don’t know this is my second time at Wealthy Affiliate. I was the proverbial newbie many years ago and of course I knew everything and I thought I should be making money in 5 minutes without putting anything into it.

Then when I didn’t make any money I didn’t question myself but rather I questioned the program. Finally I decided it was the programs fault and I went ahead and cancelled my membership and went on to the next shiny thing that came along.

For Me The Second Time Is The Charm

So I’m here to help you not have to come back a second time like me. Don’t lose all the valuable time I did. I f I would have just stayed and worked the system I know life would have been a lot different.

I’m going to offer you a few secrets. They aren’t really secrets but it seems they are because so many deny even hearing these answers.

In Wealthy Affiliate you are not going to get rich overnight. In fact there is a good chance you will never get rich. However there is a good chance you can make life changing money if you do what needs to be done.

You need to commit to at least a year and possibly longer.

You need to commit to doing the lessons and not skipping anything

You need to commit to believing in yourself

You need to make yourself accountable

There are more but I’m going to keep them for a blog post lol. Just kidding. At the end of the day if you are at Wealthy Affiliate then I suggest you do it the Wealthy Affiliate way. You need to be willing to put in the time and effort.

Time and effort means a few different things. As for time you need to put in as many hours as possible. Make that commitment to use your lunch break, coffee break. Work late into the night and get up and work early in the morning.

You need to read every lesson, listen and watch every video and do exactly what every one of them say.

Effort also means you need to write content. You need to write great content and you need to write a lot of it. It needs to be relevant and needs to help solve a problem from your reader. At the end of the day if you make the commitment of a year then in my humble opinion on one blog you need to have a minimum of 100 posts if you want to be anywhere near making any money.

My Last Few Words For Now

In conclusion to this article I’m going to only say a few more things and then move on to promoting my business. I just wrote this post during my lunch break. I chose to write instead of eat. That is my commitment. Everyone can do it in several ways. All I’m doing is asking the new members to Wealthy Affiliate to remember something.

This isn’t one of those things in the shiny ball syndrome. Wealthy Affiliate is a business and will help you build a business. You will be given the tools and you will be given the training and you will also be given an entire community of people who want you to succeed. What you decide to do with everything given to you is up to you.

At the end of the day if a Dr doesn’t go to school they will never be a Dr. That is no different here. If you don’t want to do the training you will never be an affiliate marketer.

Thank you for allowing me the time to write this. I know it may be a little bumble jumble. That is because I wrote it fairly fast. However I’m sure you get the jist of it.

I just don’t want to see the new members of wealthy Affiliate giving up without giving it a fair chance.

See, I wrote this in a little less than half an hour. With a few tweaks here and there I have a blog post for my website so 100 posts a year is very doable.
