The 1 Google Ads Setting You'll NEVER Want To Enable
If you want to run a profitable ad campaign through Google search, there is 1 setting you'll almost certainly never want to enable.
That is the "Search Partners" setting.
Google loves to make it seem like this setting is designed to help you... But it's not.
In fact, Google doesn't even really monitor the traffic that is driven to ads via their partner network.
For example, if you add an IP to your block list & you have search partners enabled, the IP can still click your ads because Google doesn't require its search partners to pass on the IP address of the clicks. Same with the country, too.
Not good!
So whilst Google tries to auto-enable this, be sure to disable it when creating a campaign.

So true. Search network and Display network tend to be much lower, and a far less focused audience (in particular the display network).
I always recommend people that are going to test these other sources of PPC traffic to divide them up in separate campaigns so the data is much easier to interpret (as well as the profitability).
Waaaaay too much bot traffic on the internet. In person events and even direct mail will get your offer to real human prospects.๐

Dale, thanks for the heads-up. I didn't know this, but it's good to know. Leave the search partner unchecked, then display ads are supposed to be checked or unchecked?
Iโd uncheck display as well; keep your search campaign focused on search only :)
