I Got Stung
My husband and I attended our Monthly Bee Club Meeting last night.
We were fortunate to have a speaker telling us all about different options for controlling Varroa Mites in your beehive - including an Organic solution, that I was most interested in.
This speaker also had some Bee Food all the way from Canada (to New Zealand) to purchase, so we brought 10 "Patties" for our girls.
I got Stung
Excited to get home from the farm this morning and give the girls their new special Bee Feed.
I rushed out and opened the first hive.
Now these hives have not been opened since May this year, so the girls have been left to their own devices till now.
One would think after all this time, the girls would be happy to see me.
Within moments of opening the first hive, I was stung twice!!! (and it hurts).
Didn't think I would need my Bee Suit or the Smoker (which calms the bees).
WRONG!
Use the right Tools
There are Tools required for any job, and usually for good reason.
Safety gear is also required for certain jobs, and usually for good reason.
Not only in Beekeeping but also in life you need to use the right tools to get the job done properly and safely to avoid getting stung!
Lots of people get stung by using the wrong Tools.

You are absolutely right. While there are no such thing as a perfect tool, there is such a tool such as the Swiss Army knife where you have many tools at your disposal WHEN YOU NEED IT!
In fact, I am getting rid of many tools I don’t use very often because it is available on WA. My TIME is more important to me so I prefer to be in the same place getting WORK and LEARNING DONE rather than looking all over the place.
The Swiss Army Knife is definitely the Tool to have.
You have a sound plan, that is fantastic.
You will have much success!

Nice blog DaisyK78. Whilst always remembering not to be blaise about anything in life - especially those companies that will sting like a bee when we think they won't.... however, like bees to a honeypot (excuse the pun), WA is as sweet as nectar in comparison.
hope those stings heal quickly. I hear the product Melagel just might do the trick....

There are a lot of companies out there looking to get rich quick and it is usually people that are looking to get rich quick that fall into those types of "schemes/scams".
Melagel...That is one thing I don't have Linda (slightly embarrassed)...I used to always have it as my son was growing up, but have not got any....just added to this months shopping list!
