Where's my money?
"When will I make my first sale?"
"When will I start to get paid for this?"
"When does the money start to flow?"
These are some of the most common questions I hear. Every day, I see more people at WA asking this. And I get it! I understand it is a big investment - the monthly or annual fee, purchasing domains, Jaxxy account, time and effort, etc. – the costs start adding up.
Starting an online business is just that... it’s a business! With any business, there are costs and risks. Startup costs, operational expenses, and unplanned expenses. Then, after spending most or all of your money, you still have to deal with the huge risk of potentially losing it all or not getting paid for a long time. Of course, your ultimate goal is to get return on your investment and become profitable so you can enjoy the freedom and lifestyle you want.
This is all part of the game you choose to be a part of when you click on that link to start your account at WA and give this internet business thing a whirl. Hard work, risk, and expenses are your new reality! The quicker you get used to that, the easier it will be for you to focus on developing your business rather than focusing on the risks and costs involved.
How to be successful in business and get paid
If you want to be successful and start generating income, understand all the risks and all the costs involved in your business. Keep good records (log book or journal). Do your research. Create a business plan or at least jot down a plan of action with major points to tackle this project. If you don’t know something, look it up and read everything you can about it.
Technically, this should all be done prior to pulling the trigger and fully committing to starting the business. But that’s ok! You might have just been fed up one day, read someone’s post about WA, clicked their link, and here you are! Nothing wrong with that. In that case, step 2 is to research and dig in to all the details. Find out if this is a good fit for you, if it is interesting to you, and if it will integrate into your current life demands and responsibilities.
Once you decide to commit, just GO! And don’t look back! Don’t second guess yourself and don’t listen to anyone telling you you’re crazy! The lessons at WA are laid out very plainly and simply so that anyone can follow them and be successful. They laid all the groundwork for you! The foundation for your online business is already there. All you need to do is follow the directions and stay focused and consistent with adding content and continuously improving your site (YOUR business).
Commit yourself to pushing through the courses and learning everything you can about your niche, affiliate marketing, techniques to improve your rankings, and business in general. Read what others have written to achieve their success. Ask for help and comments! Take the feedback, learn from it, and apply it.
Lastly, be patient. Running a business is hard work and can be 24/7 for periods of time (until you crash from pure exhaustion). That’s good!!! That means you are determined to succeed! Stay motivated, keep pushing forward, fail and learn from those mistakes, then keep pushing forward again! Nothing good comes easy. Contrary to many people’s thoughts, you cannot get rich quick (aside from winning the lottery or inheriting a fortune). If you don’t see any sales today, you might get one tomorrow – or in 10 minutes, or a few hours – but they are coming! Always picture in your mind that the sales and your fortune already exist. Everything is tangible. You can touch it, feel it. Just imagine that. The money is already there, waiting for you. All this work you are doing is simply carving a channel in the sand for that money to flow directly to you. The path of least resistance takes dedication and persistence.
My guarantee - you will get out what you put in. That goes for everything in life, but especially a business. If you are giving it your best - 110% effort, time, energy, productivity, focus – then you wouldn’t be asking these questions about money because you will have already realized your return on this investment.
Work hard and focus on helping people in your niche, provide valuable content that they will enjoy reading and following. The money will come.

Get Paid $6,000 for doing nothing. This is what we see out there all the time but it's all a scam, it just doesn't exist. But there are thousands of people slowly building their business so that over time they have something real and profitable. The only question is who will last and who will give up. Fear has a cost while courage has rewards.

You hit the nail on the head Paul! Only about 5% truly succeed here because it is just "too much work". Nothing comes without a cost. Embrace the costs (fear) or go back to whatever you were doing before. Everyone has a choice.
You have certainly covered all bases when making this post, and you have raised some very good points, especially for newbies.
I agree with your message and I have allowed myself three years before I start to question my sanity.
Unfortunately in our world these days there are too many people who want everything NOW and can't wait for it, which is a pity because in many ways it indicates the inability of people to actually work for a result.
That is a sad indictment on our society these days - want everything without doing anything and we want it NOW.

Thank you Steve! The NOW culture is very annoying. Short-term gains snuck up on us in the corporate world over the last 10 years. I don't think anyone realizes what "long-term investment" means anymore.
My definition... SECURITY!
The world is always changing based on people's views of that day or time. But the basic fundamentals of EVERYTHING in life never change. That is why long-term investments always seem to work out in the end.
