"Always Stay Humble & Kind" - Tim McGraw

My personal assistant (Alexa :)) was playing me some music as I was working. A song came on that I had heard for years and years but it really stopped me in my tracks.

It hit home like a pile of rocks on my head. There is no doubt my wife and I have fought through life's trials and we have came out on the other side with bumps, bruises and some broken bones (literally). But there is also no doubt that the family we leave behind will survive and our children will not have those same bumps in the road that we had. Tammy is still putting in 60 hours per week when she doesn't have to. I still put in 12-16 hour days, 6 days per week. We like to work, but we love providing a better life for our kiddos even more.

At the end of the song Tim McGraw says

"When you get to where you are going,
don't forget, turn back around,
Help the next one in line,
and always stay humble and kind."

This reminded me of WA. I see it everyday here. Those helping the next ones in line.

I also realized that my website was unknowingly doing the same thing, helping others to achieve success.

Keep that in mind as you hit your goals. The saying 'never look back' is wrong. When you get to the top, turn back around and lend a hand.

One of my favorite songs! Thanks for sharing!

It is an excellent post. Thank you for sharing.

One of my favorite songs, I think if more people lived like that the world would be a better place for all. "Pay it forward"

I agree looking back is a learning process to give to others, of those who will accept the help.

I haven't heard that song in awhile and you are right it does resemble WA

The WA spirit Craig. Tim McGraw rules!

I like Tim McGraw too.

Profound advice and one that I will always follow.

Amen, you got that right Craig, that's our duty to help who ever needs it. Whether ahead of us or behind.

I agree with you completely. My grand mother usually say, "one hand washes the other" All the best.
