Somebody Needs You

There are billions of people in this world who need your help. Literally. The current world population is over seven billion people and a large number of people "live" in horrible poverty that most Americans can scarcely imagine.

Do you really believe that on any given day you are blessed with life, you can do nothing to help somebody have hope or heal in any way? I couldn't disagree more. It is time for you to think of and care about something or someone MORE than just yourself and your own problems.

You may not even receive thanks from the person you helped, sometimes, but that is all right! More than all right, actually, because you aren't really caring about the other person or giving them an actual gift/blessing IF you are doing so with the expectation of getting anything back in return.

For the rest of this post, I am going to briefly mention the incredible uplifting and healing power of three things any one human-being can give to another that costs no more than some time, effort, and the right spirit. '

The three things are 1) a tender/affectionate/healing touch and/or hug, 2) a heartfelt smile, and 3) a sympathetic and caring ear.

The healing power of a human touch is truly awesome and magnificent. What is so sad in today's world is how few people know or remember this.

Some premature babies actually die if they are not touched and held enough. Far too many childrens, teens, and adults in the world go almost every day without being tenderly and honestly touched or held even once. They suffer needlessly and horribly in silence.

Want to give somebody life, or save their life literally at times? Reach out and touch and/or hold them with gentleness and real love in your heart and help them hold on and heal!

Did you ever notice or think about how simple, yet powerful, a genuine smile is - not only for yourself, but anohter person you share the smile with? Well, it isn't your imagination. How much time does a beutiful smile take? Two or three seconds? In that very brief time, what magic can take place inside of you and outside.

It is hard to think of any other thing that can "cost" so little and yet have such an immediate and powerful impact for the good. Many studies have proven the health benefits of those who care enough to smle and then share that precious gift with others.

Finally, when was the last time you took the time to sit down or stop and really listen to someone else who is in a crisis or very serious pain? No, this gift and blessing isn't as brief as a smile to share and may even take more time than sharing a caring touch or hug, but the rewards are tremendous.

It is a rare human-being who doesn't want and sometimes desperately need another person to pay attention to and listen to them! Blessed indeed is the giver and receiver of those people who have learned and are willing to listen with their ears, heart, and mind to a person in need.

There you have it.

At one time or another, we ALL need a gentle touch, warm smile, or open heart to be able to carry on or heal.

Be one of those people who is there to answer the call of another in urgent need. Even if they don't ask and without expecting or asking for anything in return.

Reach out and touch the other person. Better yet, and if possible, give them a loving hug. Smile at them. Honestly and without any hidden or evil motive. Watch the transformation as they smile back, as they almost always will. Finally, take the time to listen to them carefully and with your heart and spirit along with your ears. Let them talk. Don't rush them. Take all the time they need. Leave them in peace and with love.

Time to close and go and do what I am preaching.

Thanks for the share. Totally agree!
Keep the hugs coming
Have a great day
Cheers
Dave

Dear Dave,

Have a great day too and here's a great big smile coming your way over the internet.

Craig

Absolutely, Craig! :-) Thank you for reminding us all! :-)

Nathalie

Dear Nathalie,

You are most welcome and here's a big internet hug for you, too. I've spent almost my whole life concentrating on and complaining about what I DON'T (and haven't had) in my life! What a waste. With the time I have left on earth, I am going to at least try my best to share the exact things I wrote the post about. So glad to hear that it touched the right "nerve" with so many people - including you. Do have a wonderful day yourself and take care.

Craig

Thank you so much for your hug, Craig!

I am so lucky to have access to hugs pretty much anytime I want when I am home. But internet hugs are still very welcome too! :-)

Have a wonderful day and take care too,

Nathalie

Craig, you are so right! A smile cost nothing and is so easy to give to another. The difference we make in the lives of others may never be known to us, but to the person feeling the love, it makes a difference. Thank you. Linda

Yesss .. "Hugs"

My wife is a Healer and she routinely prescribes Vitamin "H" (Hugs)

And as to touch, she definitely has a "Healing Touch", and I am blessed to be around her, as are everyone else who truly know her

I was in Seattle, WA with my daughter one special day and there wea a man on the street holding a sign saying FREE HUGS. You should have seen the crowd waiting to get theirs. It was lovely. I of course got mine as did my daughter! Miss Linda

Beautiful, Joe! Your wife sounds like a wonderful person! :-)

Nathalie

She Is a True Treasure

.. but the sad part, which is very often the situation, is that Her birth-family (She is the youngest of 11) discount Her and treat her like crap .. they don't know what they are missing
... it breaks her heart :-(

Regards

Joe

Yes. Often our souls choose to incarnate in difficult family dynamics... there is a wisdom in this. Whatever family she chose to incarnate in, her soul knew that it would be the best way to learn the lessons she came to learn in this life.

May both your lives be filled with love and reconciliation,

Nathalie

Dear Joe,

Your wife is very wise and special. Good for you. Tell her I said so, if you will. Keep on handing out those prescriptions.

Craig

Craig! Well said! I practice these things every opportunity I get. I especially do so to my food servers when I go out to eat. My friend says everyone loves us because we ask their names and find out about them.
Your words need to be heard round the world.
I love your cap! Kinda says the opposite of your post though! Ha Ha Ha. I wanted to find a front door mat that said leave me alone, but there aren't any.
Thanks for serving. My son is career Navy. I am very proud of him and thankful for all who serve.
Hugs!
Barbara

So true Craig
And so well said
😢

Sending you a big hugh
Take care of you
You are very precious

Dear Maria,

And you would be at the head of my line for giving out hugs, without a doubt!! :) :)

Craig

Thank you Craig

❤️

Dear Maria,

And you have my heart, too. Hope you are well and having a great day. You are my special angel here at WA. God Bless.

Craig

God bless Craig

Dear Maria,

God truly blessed me when He brought you into my life. I couldn't ask for a greater blessing to be thankful for every day.

Craig

Hi Craig, thank you for your beautiful blog, it is very true, often we think it is what we have in our hands that matter, but it is really what comes from within and radiates through our, touch, our face, and our listening...I hope you are yourself having a great day and that people will give you same kindness that you have shown them. 😄

And the same to you. You definitely have a very pretty smile; be sure to share it with someone today. Even if they don't smile back or thank you.

Craig

It's so true, even the smallest gestures can change a person's whole day. You never know their situation.

No, that IS the simple but incredibly powerful truth. We do not ever know what another person is going through or facing unless we take the time to stop and listen. How are you doing, my friend?

Craig

I am doing OK, thanks for asking. Not a whole lot going on for me. I am fighting my tendency to procrastinate.

Yes, procrastinating is a habit that is hard to fight if one has gotten used to it. Are you trying to earn an online income with any other site than WA?

Craig

I have my drone site and then I'm still finishing up my WA promotion site.

It's just taking the time to write posts that I keep pushing to the last minute....I'm working on it though.

Sounds good and I wish you great success. Keep in touch please, will you.

Craig

Will do man!
