About CraigBarnes
Joined February 2017
I am a 69 year old disabled, Vietnam veteran. My main passions in life are the environment, young children, self-education, pets (especially cats and dogs)/animals, photography, gardening, bicycling, computers, reading, math, English, and model rocketry. My birthplace was New York City, where I lived until I was 19 1/2 years old. It was quite an experience. There are only one or two other places in the U.S. that are very similar to New York City and "run" 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. One is Las Vegas, Nevada which also is "open" 24/7 and 365 days a year. It probably also accounts for my extreme opinions, quick temper, aggressiveness and BIG mouth which I still haven't learned how to keep shut for my own good too many times!

I am here to learn how to earn a good or great income through Affiliate Marketing and to help others do the same who are also members with the same goal(s). Affiliate Marketing is just one model or form of Internet Marketing (IM) and it is wise to always keep this in mind.

My health is very poor, especially in terms of my kidney disease, depression, incredibly under active thyroid gland, and other problems I have to deal with every day. It is difficult for me to make or keep friends, and this has remained true throughout my life. A lone wolf who doesn't have a pack for companionship and protection. Funny how different some people's lives play out.

So, I am here to stay and offer fellow members any encouragement, support, and help I can give them. Good luck and best wishes for all of your continued success.

Thanks for the follow. I'm following you too. Thank you for your service! I have a lot of respect for Vietnam Vets. I'm active duty currently.

I've been in the Navy for 15 years. I love affiliate marketing and am still waiting for my two sites to receive traffic.

I hope you find a lot of success!

Dear Eric,

I would definitely like to have some kind of "working" relationship with you going towards the future. It is my opinion that one could prove to be mutually beneficial, especially in the sense of Affiliate Marketing. What do you think?

I have five sites online (one as a sub-domain on siterubix.com) and I know this is too large a number, but am stubborn. The only one I can depend on to do the dozens and hundreds of daily marketing tasks I work on is ME. No wife, girlfriend, roommate, or anybody else. Literally.

So, I can't believe that neither one of us would be incapable of sharing some good advice, tips, and marketing related thoughts. Whatever your answer is, I look forward to reading it.

Thanks and good success to you, too.

I had some Affiliate Marketing success a few years ago but I could still see that there was a ton of value at WA. One of the biggest things I found here is that it is a huge resource for networking with like-minded marketers.

I'm always looking for ways to strengthen relationships and surround myself with people that are driven and focused on success.

You've obviously been a big name here for a while and give a lot to WA. Once I get these new sites moving, I'd love to provide helpful insight on what I've found works for me. I know it won't be long before my work starts to pay off. My sites are still only a month or two old. I'm going to keep pumping out content furiously until I inevitably succeed.

I always tell people that I'm too stubborn not to succeed so here's to proving myself right.

This field is a game of persistence and patience. I look forward to bouncing ideas back and forth and growing together in this crazy environment.

Dear Eric,

Great news and good to hear from you again. I really like your sentence about being too "stubborn not to succeed ..." Fear of failure OR really the fear of success? What a simple, but profound statement or thought.

Hi Craig, thanks for your message. I'm just going to start using this content tool and will have a good idea of how well it works by sometime next week. I am investing about $60 USD for unlimited content creation. That's about as much as I can tell you right now and will certainly keep you posted with my findings and share the link at that time if it is OK with WA. Cheers.

Dear Craig, you are right. Wow! I'm so sorry. Please forgive my manners. (I accidentally blocked you so I don't know if you can PM me, I've asked Carson to undo it.)

I don't know why I replied to your message like that. I read something wrong earlier and responded inappropriately.

I am truly sorry and sending you my sincere apologies.

I'm really here to help you... so here are the lessons for the two items you asked about.

Traffic generation (it's the whole level 2): How to insert an image or video (part of level 2): I hope you accept my deepest apologies,

Grace

Dear Grace,

I am more than willing to accept your apologies and really hope you don't think I consider myself to be a perfect human-being. Believe me, you wouldn't want to know the number of times and how badly I've behaved towards even those people I know love and care about me deeply. So, let's just move on from this point.

You were RIGHT about not me not completing the certification course training, yet. I have not tried to move so slowly or take my time so much, as being slowed down by many factors that would fall under the category of "that's just life" or "sh** happens."

I am a 70 year old disabled, Vietnam veteran, who has been a lifelong bachelor. My health in all respects has never been even fair (forget about good; I have NO idea what that's like!); I have yet to escape or rise above grinding/crushing poverty; and have waged a constant or daily losing battle against the madness in my own head and the world.

One obstacle and frustration that never leaves me or my life has to do with doing/trying my best and just NOT getting anywhere!

In my life, it hasn't seemed to matter at all, what I try or how hard I try. People, again and again, will tell me how bright, talented, skillful or whatever I am and then wonder how or why I am so miserable or angry. God, I wish I could tell them, but don't know myself. I could possibly sum it up by truthfully saying the one expression I have heard countless times has been: "You're so (see above), BUT I am not interested [in what you have to or are offering me]." As they also say, Grace, "Thanks, but NO thanks!"

So I will go on my merry way now. Tomorrow is Friday and without any alcohol to drink or marijuana to smoke, it will be another very lonely and bleak weekend. I have no social life to speak of.

Thank God I have at least made the beginnings of what I hope and think are some valuable and positive relationships online here at WA. I also DO have three or four good, close friends outside in the real world.

Have a great day and thanks again for your message!

Hi Craig,

I'm so happy to have received your message! Thank you for accepting my apologies.

I am sorry to hear about the struggles you've had in your life and still having. I did not mean to judge and I think I did that too quickly with my reply. I'm glad we can move forward.

Thank you for your services for our country. I can't imagine what you've been through in your life.

I will do whatever I can to help you build this business but the foundation for this is in the training and it's important that you learn that first. That's what I was trying to say but didn't say.

I help a lot of people on here, so a lot times, my answers may be short because of my time constraints but, next time, I will be more kind with my words.

Any questions you have as you're going through the training, please don't hesitate to ask me at all. :)

I'm very opened to anyone coming to me for help so please, I hope you will ask me if you have questions in the future.

I know you can do this! :)

Dear Grace,

Even when they're baby steps and everybody else's lives seem to just seem to keep on moving right through and around you?

Well, here's an example of a question I honestly DON'T think is covered in the training. Between the following two domain names, which one do you think has more future potential in terms of its market potential: 1) themathiuse/The Math I Use or 2) walkawayawinner/Walk Away A Winner?

The first one or possibility will be on the topic of/niche in general or basic math skills that everybody uses on a daily basis and the second concentrates on the two casino games of blackjack and craps, and how to actually walk away a winner at either or both at the end of a session at the table(s).

I await your opinion and thank you.

Craig
Reply
littlemama Premium
Dear Craig,

Yes, for sure, you must take baby steps even if others keep moving forward around you. The thing is, you may not see it, but people move just as slow in the beginning as you. I am definitely way more efficient today than when I first started. The more you get involved with this, the more it will become easier (this is absolutely true for me).

You just start somewhere, wherever you are, and just keep taking those steps every day or week, as often as you can, and then things will come together as you go along.

Yes questions like choosing domains are great questions to ask me.

Math - not sure how high demand this is or affiliate programs you can find regarding math, or what types of products/services you can promote with this niche.

Casino, on the other hand, is definitely a much better niche and I know there are tons of different casino type affiliate programs or CPA networks (like MaxBounty, CPA = click per action, earn commissions on an action vs a sale) that offer casino type offers.

So if I were you, I would do the http://walkawayawinner.com domain if that's available.

I hope this helps... also, did you see my message above regarding my training I showed you?

Grace

Dear Grace,

I hope you are well and wanted to ask just one more question today, please. I want to transfer a (casino) gambling domain/site I am now hosting at siterubix.com to a paid domain name/site and am considering two possibilities. If you have any opinion or preference, which one of the following two do you like better:

walkawayawinner OR

awinningsession?

Thanks again and have a good day.

Craig
Reply
littlemama Premium
I think the first one is great because you do want to walk away a winner, the second is okay, not bad or anything, just maybe "one winning session" may not appeal to people. Just my thoughts, but I don't know that niche that well, so you may know the people in your niche better.

The domain choice, as long as it conveys what your site is about, you can really use either one.

I hope this helps,
Grace

Dear Grace,

Unfortunately, the domain name you thought was better wasn't available for purchase, so I went with: "winningatcasinoblackjack.com" instead. I like it and will work on it today. Also, I now have six websites online and that will have to be good enough for this year, all kidding aside. Now, on to work at the local public library another day.

Dear Craig,

Great to hear you have settled on one. :) Six websites? That's a lot. Lol I never recommend beginners who are just learning to build more than one really. One is a lot of work, I only just started a second one after working on my first one for over 2 years.

Just some thoughts I'd want to share about this because the more sites you work the slower the results will be because your work effort is spread all over, instead of have concentrated effort into one site.

Have a great weekend,
Grace
Reply
CraigBarnes Premium
Dear Grace,

Yes, what you said is true. I will concentrate most of my time, energy and effort on only two at first until I can build them up enough. Not sure today what the two will be. The weekend passed and I am determined not to face the next weekend unless I have some alcohol and/or pot at home to ease the pain.

What pain? The pain that is constantly with me 24/7, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. That's all.

More later and I will keep you posted on my progress.

All I know how to do is try to still get up, get dressed, get out, and put one foot in front of the other - no matter my condition. I have NEVER been sure of any "purpose" my life has had since day one. Nothing has provided an answer for me. Not work, where I live, church/religion, family, or anything else.

Dear Michael,

Thanks for the kind words and sharing with me. The biggest drawback to me of online relationships is that they are virtual and not "real" in the normal sense of the word. I lived in Las Vegas for about ten years or so, and still miss it badly some days. A truly unique place in the world, not just the United States. Hope we can both have a very healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year. Feel free to contact me whenever you want, I'd love to hear from you.

Right now the site is terrible and needs a lot of work. That's one very bad thing about trying to be self-employed when you physical and mental health are so bad. It's another Friday and weekend and I almost feel like I want to crawl into a hole in the middle of nowhere and just die. Sorry, but that's the truth. NO marriages, girlfriends, dating partners or even companions or friends for my whole life. I am not just a social misfit and outcast, but a literal pariah.

I took l look at your site it looks like a good start. As to developing sites I believe if I had it to do over I would only have two sites. One personal site and one affiliate site. The personal site would promote me locally and the affiliate would promote my chosen niche around the world. Probably the greatest product to promote is WA. They are honest and have an excellent affiliate program.

I need to work on my sites, but my main work is commercial real estate appraisals and affiliate marketing as a hobby. I thin I need to go back through the training.

Best wishes to you for great success.

The next time you are on WA visit the profile of Fullerlj and read some of her blogs. She can help you become positive.

You are most kind and I would greatly appreciate receiving more feedback and advice from you. Unfortunately, from literally the first day of my life until I was 19 1/2 years old and going to Nam, I learned nothing about respecting, loving, or taking care of myself. Far too much damage much too early in life. Oh well, we can't live in the past, can we? It's just that I have struggled through a life where the past (lessons I learned the hard way) has constantly haunted and tormented my present and robbed me of any future.

Hello Craig. I don't have your military background and I am as country as a hayseed, but I do understand the lone wolf thing. I labelled it "introvert" and decided I don't want a pack. They just make me mad anyway. I am about to quit my job because of coworkers, not for the first time. This society celebrates extroverts and I think that is unfortunate. Some of the most interesting people keep to themselves.
All the best,

Hi Craig, I would have died over a decade ago if it was up to the doctors. I don't have kidney issues like yours but I have heard of people being taken off dialysis and avoiding organ transplant with simple herbs from the School of Natural Healing, if you want to have a chat with David Christopher [son of Dr. John Christopher] he can be reached for free for a short chat during lunchtime weekdays and for longer chats for a nominal fee at other times by appointment. They are the only herbalists that really keep it simple and expect and get big results and have been doing so for nearly 100 years, here is the number.

Well, Sondra, enjoying each breath or moment of life is a major problem for me. I do thank you for kind words and thoughts, though. I got off to a truly horrible start in life with my parents and sister. The pain I went through and damage done to me were devastating. Then came serving in Vietnam and coming back "home" to nothing - no job, no family or friends, no wife or girlfriend, no home or car. In the decades since, I have struggled with addictions, social alienation, long periods of homelessness and unemployment, and an overwhelming number of severe, chronic medical illnesses. So, at this point I am basically running on empty or fumes.

As W. H. Auden said: "We are all here on earth to help others; what on earth the others are here for I don't know."

Lily Tomlin was also right on the mark when she said: "I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific."

Talk to you again, Sondra. Keep those animals well-fed and penned or gated in. I appreciate you being my friend.

LOL. You have been left here on this earth this long for a reason. You are a smart man. I sincerely hope that you choose to find the postive in each day rather than focus on all that has gone wrong.

With every circumstance, we choose how we react to it. You are tough. Yet, you are willing to help those who need help and the animals that can't help themselves. I admire that.

Penned and gated in....lol. My horses get put in a stall at night. Otherwise they try to eat the pigs food. The chicks are closed up for their safety. The bull is locked up in a pen so he doesn't decide to visit neighbors cows. My 500 lb pigs are allowed to run loose like dogs. (I have 8 of them).

They are so cute. I get so much pleasure by opening the door in the mornings and seeing waiting for me at outside the door. I think pigs are one of the most misunderstood creatures in the world. I feed the pigs on my driveway because it is relatively clean with the concrete and their is plenty of space for me to stay out of their way when they start bickering over their food.

Try to focus on the good in your life. Thank you for your willingness to help the WA community.

Thank you so much for your encouragement and support. I received your message safety, but am still having trouble finding my bonuses. I think your website is great.

The bonus material can be found in your private message inbox (usually called PM for short). Click the red/grey envelope on the top of your screen. It's red when you have a message, grey when all your messages are read.

The title of the message is "? Your Bonuses! ?".

If you don't see it in your inbox, perhaps you read it already and forgot. There's a "read" and "unread" tab you can toggle to search.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

The links you provided me for the bonuses are suddenly "dead," not broken! They are no longer active hyperlinks, Nathaniell, but just plain text in your message. They appear as only plain text nd I honestly don't know how this happened. Please resend them to me; thank you.

The text you are seeing here are not "broken" or "dead". The links that take you to the bonuses are in your inbox. Right now you are viewing your member profile.
