Hello cotati4. Are you talking about an image instead of a banner that's within your text area of your post are page. If so, you'll will be able to select the position by clicking on the pencil symbol, a box will open that will allow you to select where you want the image. But, if you're actually talking about a Banner, I feel that steveo5770 has given you a solution. I hope you get your answer.

Have you considered putting the banner in the side bar to the right? It's much easier to do and will show up on every page.

Thank you all for the answers. i am thinking I need to brush up on the wordpress training. I have two banners and the code. But have not figured how to put them on the side menu in this theme.

Yes, it is possible, but try to keep all banners below the fold and best if you do not exceed two per page! You can also use text links in your page.

From memory, you can do this by first obtaining the code for the banner you want.
Then insert this code into a text widget.
Voilla! The banner should be visible.

I don't think you should have that many banners. Google doesn't like it if you have too many. It's fine to have one on the right side and another one on your Wealthy Affiliate review page.
