No Rankings Yet, But Not Giving Up!

Yes, I will be the first to admit that I am a novice to all of this and it is very overwhelming to me, but I will never give up until it all makes sense to me and I know that I will eventually succeed. Nothing worth having is ever easy or everyone would be doing it, right? I continue to have faith and believe that my persistence, hard work and determination will lead me to the success that I desire and that failure is not a option for me.

Thanks to the Wealthy Affiliate community who have answered my questions and have helped me to get this far. You are a true inspiration to me. I still have a long way to go and I'm so grateful to have your support and I know that I could not accomplish my goals thus far without your support.

Many thanks to Kyle and Carson for creating this great, supportive online business community!

Wow, I thought I'd be able to offer some words of encouragement when I saw this blog but I came here and found myself being encouraged! You've got this under control, just keep that spirit and you'll see results :)

You will get it. it takes just immersing yourself in it and everything will start to come together, It is like putting a puzzle together with out the pic on the box the closer you get to the end you start to see what you are making....just hang in there, we have all been the there and feel ya, ; O)
God bless
Kymee

Terrific that you feel this way; be prepared to rereal this avowal of faith when you would rather pull out your hair. :-) There are times!

That is the spirit never give up keep going forward and yes we are all here to help and support you on your path to stardom.

the main objective is to be positive and know it is working. Money will start rolling in like magic. You put in the work. It will pay off.

Patience is a virtue. You will start to get more and more rankings as time goes on. As your "snowball" starts to pick up steam it will only continue to grow. Google does not rank sites right out of the gate very well and can take a few weeks to properly rank a new site, but as you build out quality content you will only see improved results.

Things are changing all the time in terms of what you need to do to get ranked. What works today might not work tomorrow. But one thing that seems to be good no matter what

1 - diverse backlinks (many DIFFERENT TYPES of backlinks)
2 - diverse anchor text (not focusing too much on putting your keyword in your backlinks)
3 - quality content (all the engines are trying to provide the best results to the user. write good content and eventually they will find you)

I had several sites and most of them suffered in rankings. Especially the ones with a lot of backlinks from specific types of sources. diversity is key

Thanks for sharing your knowledge

I would disagree with "backlinks", you do not need backlinks to rank in this day and age. Most people get in more trouble with Google by getting some backlinks and it can adversely affect you if you don't know what you are doing.

Anything that feels "unnatural" about the process of building a website (as in manufactured backlinks) is leading to more adverse affects in the search engines than positive ones.

I agree Kyle. manufactured backlnks will hurt you in the long run. But I "think" if people are liking your material and "naturally" linking to you, that will create diverse backlinks to your page and should help you one way or another.

But I 100% agree that paying for backlinks are not the best way to go.

200% agree! Never give up = Never fail I know nothing until I join WA. I manage to write articles that stranger give praise. I have my own website no ranking yet but is ok will make it work. Have a YouTube video I created. These all I haven't done in my life.
Thanks Kyle, Carson, Ian(pribs) and fellow WA friends.

I can relate. While you wait for rankings, why not look into social traffic? Having authorship and sharing lots of content on google plus especially will help you rank faster!

how many pages have you created? what are you doing for SEO?

Persistence is good but you don't want to spin your wheels in the wrong direction :)

Thanks for the advice. I do feel like I am "spinning my wheels". I think its time to go back through the training and determine what I'm doing wrong...feel like I missed something.

I took a hiatus for a while but now I'm back. Created a new page this week that i will be making my flagship. No paid SEO tools for now.

A lot of IMers say they don't even rely on traffic from google anymore. They rely on traffic from other sources. Google changes things constantly and you will get really frustrated if you only have one source of traffic.

Talk to the people that got Google slapped and went from making $10,000 per month to making nothing over night :(
