About Clbrooks57
Joined March 2017
After 37 years working as a civil litigation paralegal I found myself struggling through cervical and lumbar degenerative disc disease which forced me to retire and apply for social security disability benefits. I had not intended to retire at the age of 59. In 2013, I took a newborn baby boy home from the hospital with the intention of temporarily assisting the mother who had landed upon hard times. Today I am the adoptive mother of a 4 year old son who was recently diagnosed with an intellectual disability, speech delay and fine motor deficits. Raising a child at my age presents challenges in and of itself!

Additionally, I have two adult children, a son born in 1980 and a daughter born in 1985. And my favorite people - 10 grandchildren ranging in ages from 7 months to 12 years.

From League City, Texas - South of Houston; North of Galveston Island.

Hello, Carole...

I just replied to a comment and question you had on Chris' post and thought I would pop over here too...

Good to meet you, and it sounds like you will have little problem adjusting to doing business online...

You do have a challenge with raising a 4 year old hehe...I have 6 grandkids ranging from 2 1/2 years to almost 21 years old, I cannot imagine raising them full-time!

Best of luck to you here and with your family, nice to meet you!

Cheers!

Thanks! I have been trying to pay the premium fee. The problem was my bank would not allow a transaction out of the country.

I do have questions with regard to my domain name. Can I advance in the training without creating the website just yet? I am a research freak by nature and I believe the lessons that come after creating my website will assist me. Or just go with it???

Yeah, you don't need your own domain. Use a free .siterubix.com domain, you can always make the transfer down the road.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

2) You can access me for 1-on-1 support by leaving a message on my profile https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jvanderlaan or by responding directly to this message.

There are a ton of other features worth exploring, but they are explained in the main training. Time to get started on the first lesson!

PS. Did you know that you'll already have your website built by lesson 4? Crazy, I know!

Before you go, can you please respond to this message so I know you made it inside the community? I'd like to connect with you so I can keep an eye out for your questions this week.

Thank you. Sorry I didn't respond sooner. It is spring break here!! I have reached lesson 4 and I'm ready to create the site, but I was wondering if I could proceed through additional lessons and create the website later. Is that possible? I am a research addict by nature and training and I want to have more information before setting up the first one.

Hi Carole,

While everyone is different, it is generally best to complete the tasks as you go.

The lessons are in an order that allows you to progress in such a way, that you will have success.

Hope this helps,
JV

P.S. Enjoy spring break!
