Why did my ranking go from 316 to 322?
Hi guys, can anyone explain or help me understand why my ranking has 'increased' today instead of 'decreased'?

There are bound to be days when this happens. As Rich points out, it's not what you did wrong, it's what others around you are doing right, or in this case, more right. Rich has been number three for some time now, and if you scroll to the bottom of the page you'll see the tent he camps in, just outside of here.

I've been wondering about ranking too. Now it's been explained. Just proves to me over and over again, that there is always an answer for w2hatever questions I have, and believe me, I've had quite a few. Lol.

A drop in rank just means that you weren't as engaged as others.
Rank has no real value, it is just a measure of your activity here at WA.
Yes and thank you, i worked that one out, strange thing is, this has been my most active time and i was trying figure out why my rank rose when it has been steadily decreasing since i started. All good though, just keen to understand how it works :)
I seem to recall that Carson mentioned that rank is calculated once a day, so even if you're consistent, it's possible that some Members directly "below" you were extremely engaged and/or prolific that day and simply leapfrogged over your position. It's also true that the "higher" your rank the slower it's likely your number will jump massively at recalculation as it takes into account your totals. The Top 100 "league" table also gives Kyle and Carson a perfect view of if, how and when ranking isn't being achieved organically, so they can "tweak" to reflect what they want it to reflect. ;) Rich.
I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that I hadn't checked off all my tasks for level 2?? I've been working off my ipad over the weekend and have had a few issues since upgrading to ios7. Well, I've updated everything so hopefully that should improve my ranking stats again :)
If you click on the "Ambassadorship" to the left of the screen, it will show you the area you have slowed down in and what is used to calculate your rank.
Don't believe it. My ranking is 351......I wanted to catch you......I gave Kyle $20.00 to drop you down.......sooo.............anything else you want to ask? :)

This is terrible.....I never knew so much graft and corruption could get so many likes! Oh, well.....the world we live in........:(

Thank you for the link Rich, I really appreciate that. I have checked my Ambassadorship and still can't quite figure it out as my graphs show consistency growth in all areas, but there is obviously something that I have missed so will keep working through it. We should all concentrate on creating content and building our websites instead if worrying about ranking here at WA. Websites = Revenue not ranks

Oh so this is confusing (I would really recommend as UX Designer, to change that) : it says top 200 but the rank is getting better the higher it is,.. So when do we actually reach the top 200. I need some motivation, so a number to work to.
