Feeling like my bubble has been burst :

The last week or so I have really struggled to stay positive about WA!

It all started when I read a blog post that was discussing leaving worthwhile comments on people's sites, rather than just some waste of time 'blah blah' that a person would rather just delete.

Someone posted a comment suggesting that they would leave a comment that was a lie, so that at least it was worthwhile to the site.

This made me feel really sad....what if it had already happened to me? How would I know if my stuff was ok, or was rubbish but people had lied to make it sound otherwise?

Then I saw a couple more blog posts about people copying other peoples work, and was yet again disheartened that people within WA would be into such things, and feel that it was ok to take someone else's hard work and use it without putting in the work themselves.

Yet again another post, written by someone who has worked hard for several months and not earned a cent yet. I know this is not the case for everyone, but now I ask, am I wasting my time??? Have I made a mistake??

In closing I got knocked back for an affiliate program I wanted to join, due to my site not being relevant enough, and I understand that and accept it. I have waited 2 days for a knock back..and back to square one on that idea. This was really the last thing I needed today.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you respond to this post at all, could you please leave me a yes if you have been able to succeed in WA within 1-2 years by working away at it earning enough to replace an income from a 'full time day job'.

I am not looking to make a million dollars in my first month, or to expect it to be given to me without hard work on my behalf. But I do expect to get somewhere...a really good and worthwhile somewhere, so that I can get to those goals I have set, then set more.

WHAT I DO EXPECT IS TO KNOW THAT WHERE I CHOOSE TO WORK, AND THE PEOPLE I WORK WITH ARE GENUINE AND HONEST AND ARE IN FOR ALL OF US NOT JUST FOR THEMSELVES. I live by these principles every day. I tell the truth, I don't steal, I respect others, I am genuine, I care about helping my fellow work mates.

I really need to hear some positive feedback today.

Cindy

Hi Cindy, I totally understand and agree with you. I even took a month long hiatus previously because I was so disheartened, but I am all fired up again and back now. Don't let people or set backs bother you for too long. Look at a lot of sites in the same niche as you, compare and contrast and see how your site measures up then fix it.

Hi Samantha, thank you for your words and understanding, also for sharing how you felt too for that month. It sure does suck, but then so wonderful to get back on the road. Thanks again, see you along the way. :)

I know it can be frustrating sometimes in what we read. You have come a long way and I hope you will continue. Success will come for all who seek it. It may not be exactly how we want it or as fast as we want it but it will come. You are definitely on the path to success so don't look back and keep moving forward!

Sounds a bit like life hey, it can be successful, just not always in the way in which we want it or as fast...nice analogy! Thank you for you kind and caring words, I am very grateful. :)

Hi Cindy,
I came across your profile a few weeks ago and couldn't believe how far you have come in WA in such a short time, that in itself is a huge achievement.
I have been here a while and am no where near where you are. It takes me so long to write a post and to get through the training due to other commitments but I do believe I will get there...someday.

However, a little encouragement would be nice from those WA members who are really making money. Maybe they could anonymously blog and give a brief synopsis of where they are and how they got there.
Best of luck, Paula

Hi Paula, thank you so much for your kind words, just what I needed to hear, that people like you care, and that i can care back! Happy to say that I hope we will all get there someday. Raised glasses on that day!!! Best of luck to you too, and thank you again, you have made my day. :)

I like your idea Paula. An anonymous success role.

As others have said already, this is like any other work environment but we have good men (Kyle and Carson) working to keep WA "clean."

I love the community here and have made some good friends that I keep in contact with outside of WA, I ignore the few "bad apples!"

As for making an income, take at look at this young man's blog, he started in November. :)

Thank you so much Kathy, perfect inspiration! His post was great, again, thank you. I love the community too, just slipped there for a moment, but I am back at it. Thank you again. (Cyber hug).

You've got your mojo back :D

Cindy it really doesn't take long to browse around WA and find those who are successful. It is usually not in months, but then look at the years people put into building a brick and mortar business and consider the fact that your audience has great potential!

Yes there have been some issues here, but even though WA is the best, it is not isolated from the world! And the world will not be set free from all those who choose to hurt others until my Lord returns.

There are issues in any work environment, and rarely will you see all the good people rally together as they have here to work to resolve the situations.

You are one of those good people this community needs, and there is no reason that you cannot achieve success as long as you do not quit!

Dear Christa thank you so much for your support and good healthy words. I am very grateful. I have browsed around and there are good people here, but also people who may not choose the right thing. Thank you for believing in me and encouraging me to go on. You are just what I needed today, thank you again. xo

Dear Cindy you are very welcome! Keep that beautiful smile on you face! :)

Awwww thank you, nearly bringing a tear to my eye today....blessings and cyber hugs to you. :)

Thank you! :)

Cindy, first off Please do not let others affect you.
This is a job. At a real job, would you quit it knowing you had a rent to pay or a car to buy?
This is no different really.
There is negative in anything, a real job, a community.
If anything I would say socialize a bit less. I rarely see those things but i only respond to blogs as of right now.
I have not done chats.I am scared that there will be negativity that will bring me down and mentally it takes me a bit of effort to recover from that.
Better to not go there.
I stay focused on what I do, and getting my content out.
Yes you can and will make money if you put out content that gets readers to your site.
I have made money. Not a big amount. But considering how much I had to learn I am amazed that I have made any.
What I have gained is skills that I will always have.
People that I recognize out of here on G+ and enjoy reading.
A sense of helping others when i can.
That is the things that you need to capture about WA.
There is negatives in anythings.
To say you will not make money is to say you have no skills or talent or hope.
And I will never ever say that for myself or another.
Please do not do that to yourself either.
Hope is what leads us and guides us.
Pick out the bad, grab the good and learn.learn learn. That will be with you always.

Dear Lisa thank you so much for your words of encouragement, honesty and support. I am grateful that you took the time, and really know where I am at. Also thanks for sharing about your income and giving me some encouragement with that. So happy to have heard from you today. Thank you again. xo

Hi Cindy,

In my experience the good people at WA far outnumber the few rotten apples. Please don't let some bad experiences spoil your enthusiasm.

Financial success is very possible and, because you are a talented writer, the only way you can fail is by quitting. So pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going.

There are many people here who are making a full-time living on the internet but they're unlikely to give you facts and figures because they prefer to keep that private. It's between themselves and the tax office. You wouldn't go up to a stranger on the street and ask them how much they earn and so it is in WA.

One of our members blogged about qualifying for Vegas less than half way through the year - that's 300+ premium members introduced to WA in less than 6 months. But I'm sure he won't tell you how much he earns. If you do the math you'll figure out that he's making a substantial income. And so are many others who don't disclose the facts.

Let's keep moving forward,
Marion

Dear Marion, thank you for your thoughts and words. You are so right. I am thankful you addressed the $$$$ question I had in there, and you have assured me that I can do it too, if it can be done, then I can do it. Thank you again for taking time to support me today, I am very grateful. xo

I totally agree with Marion, I think I also had seen more good, helpful and awesome people here and it does outnumber a few bad apples.:))

Cindy dear, I read yr comments before and I really think you have a great and fantastic attitude!! Moreover, you can write beautifully. With this writing talent that you have and yr undeniable passion you have as shown yr website blog posts, I am quite certain you will succeed if you do not give up at all. ;))

I just read Neil's blog post and it inspires me and I am sure you will also be inspired, it just shows that when you are persistent and very focused, you will be able to make this happen :- Cindy dear, I truly believe that as long as you never give up on following yr passion in building a successful online business, and you are very focused and dedicated, you will definitely achieve the success that you desire sooner than you could imagine!!

I await to hear yr success story soon. :)

Hi Cindy,

Once again, I am not going to give you a success story (yet). Sorry I would love to!

I have been on here a year, but I had a baby and only started applying myself in April of this year. So in terms of the application of the information, I can say I've only just started. And I haven't even monetized my site yet.

I would also love to hear some stories of success - it seems like everyone I come across just keeps saying, it will come.... And I feel like those that are successful perhaps don't want to lure us with promises of big incomes and get rich quick schemes - or I wonder if they are too busy being successful to comment on here anymore. But some encouraging success stories around the WA forum would help motivate when we feel it's all a bit much.

I have heard some of the comments you talk about (but not all) - i do feel that if someone would lie, I would rather they made no comment at all. But, don't let the odd person who isn't genuine spoil it all for you. I feel that there are genuine, trusting people here who make genuine comments, who don't copy, who don't cause trouble through bullying others. But it's the minority! Rather than the majority.

Dennis is right when he says that offline businesses have the same issues. I am ALSO setting up an offline business at the moment (and yes, I AM Crazy!!!) and I have similar issues of how to get known for what I do, I've had to deal with a LOT of politics, and I'm struggling with the when will success come. So it seems that learning from mistakes, persistence during low times, taking consistent action - and being a role model for those you want to attract is the way forward.

I hope you keep going - and I wish you all the best. Be assured that if you live by the principles you believe in, you will attract those who are similar.

Thinking of you today!

Sarah

Thank you so much Sarah. Your words really resonate with me, and I can see from what you say that you really relate. I too AM CRAZY, but life is what we make it right, regardless of others that may try to pull us down. So grateful for your thoughts today. xo

You are welcome Cindy. I would hate to see you decide to leave (over a minority who cause issues) when you obviously have passion for and talent in what you are doing! It takes courage to stay the course! Thinking of you. Sarah

Greetings Cindy!

First, know that earning money online is not impossible. Quite the contrary, it's very doable. I made good money last year on one site in particular outside of WA. I haven't done so on the site I started here in WA yet, but it WILL happen. You can bet the farm on it. I never expected it to happen in less than 3 months; 6 months is probably more likely before I start to see any significant income.

The beauty of WA is that information here is both concentrated and freely available. Think back on all the 'secrets' held close to the vest by Internet 'gurus' who were willing to part with their secret only if you paid for for their cookie cutter solutions. I say cookie cutter solutions because if they didn't work for you, you were generally hosed. There was typically little support, and no interaction among the guru's customers. Sound about right? Compare that to what we have here.

Just before I signed up here at WA, I purchased a domain - http://judgethegurus.com. You can check out my purchase at http://www.internic.net/whois.html - creation date April 1, 2015. I was more than a little miffed at those who kept making promises and failing to deliver. I was pi$$ed. I may yet use that domain to do reviews of junk guru products :)

That was April 1, 2015. Now go to my profile and check out my sign up date - April 2, 2015. Joining up here was about the most refreshing thing I've done since starting my online business career - even taking any disingenuous members here into account.

'Nuff said.

As to getting knocked down and having to get back up again and dust yourself off - welcome to the world of the small business owner. This is true of both online and offline businesses.

I've played in both worlds. I'll be happy to walk you through some of my stories - the good, the bad, and the ugly (both on and off line). You'll have to meet me in Las Vegas for that conversation though ;)

Remember, it's only scored as a failure if you don't get back up and take another run at it.

Waddya say, wealthyaffiliatemum?

Dennis

Dennis thank you so much for talking to me in my time of need. You have good grounding and positive words, and you are so right, it does not matter where you go or what you do, just whether you get up again from a knock down or disappointment. I will be ready for those stories in Vegas!!! Thank you again. :)

HI Cindy,
I have not been here at WA ...for 2 years..but only six months of working my butt off...
I am not sure what you are referring to...but I think some people add useless comments...but some people actually do take the time to give great feedback...eventually you weed them out.
I think people copy others work but that can happen outside of wa...but if I found someone copying my page...i would be peeved cause I am not a great writer and it takes soooooooo long to create a post...but either way.....the way I see it...if they need to copy me...that means they don't have any original ideas and sometimes some things cant be copied including style.
Like Taylor Swift says...Haters gonna hate hate hate....

Let them copy, hate, give sub par comments....and YOU continue the road to success.
Follow the GURU's ....and keep your eye on YOUR Goals!

Keep focused. Stay on Track.

People will always disappoint....dont let a few bad ones dim your light!

Sincerely,
Valerie

Dear Valerie, thank you so much, you are right, and your words are just what I needed to hear. The light does shine in here at WA, yay!!! Following you now, and thank you so much for taking the time to respond. :)
