Christine's Wealthy Affiliate Progress Report

Like many fellow members according to their profile, when I arrived at Wealthy Affiliate I wasn't sure what to expect. I had been in the process of researching yet another program being pitched to me. Then I came upon a Scam Review of the program which recommended Wealthy Affiliate instead. I signed up right away.

Starting Point

I joined WA on February 25, 2014. I was very impressed and excited about its uniqueness and commitment to help others accomplish success with their online business.The training and course blueprint is unlike any I have ever experienced.

I began seriously attempting to have an online business about 10 years ago. Nothing I tried gained any real traction to provide me with an income. I began to believe there must be a "secret inner circle" within internet marketing, because as hard and long as I was working I could not understand my dismal results.

As much as I disliked forums, which were highly popular at the time, I joined many of them thinking I’d discover the missing link. It didn’t happen. Due to some of the conduct and flaming remarks that often occurred in forums, I limited my presence there as much as possible.

WA Community Support

With all that said, hallelujah, I found Wealthy Affiliate. Although the community sort of reminded me of a forum; the support, respect, honesty and dedication is very different. I find myself having to watch the amount of time I spend there so I can keep a steady progression going with my training.

About my fourth day with WA, I was satisfied to the point of jumping in with both feet and upgraded to premium.

Getting Off Track A Little

Over a year ago, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I had surgery January 2013. I’ve made my one year mark as a cancer survivor.I’ve truly been blessed and thankful for my positive recovery. But, when you go through a life altering experience like this, you truly start appreciating how your body is working, how your time is spent and where you’re at in life.

Back On Track Again

Now I’ve progressed to the end of Online Entrepreneur Certification, Course 2. All I can say is WOW!

Here is where I tell you where I am with my journey (I tend to be long-winded but I’m working on keeping it short here LOL):

My Progress Thus Far:

1. I’ve upgraded to premium which is a wise choice to start my own niche website on my own domain: http://nichemarketingwithchristine.com

2. I’ve chosen affiliate marketing as my narrower niche. After having stuck with it for ten years, I have a passion for it. I have no desire to create my own product at this time. This is viable option to make money from it once I unlearn and relearn the right WA way.

3. My site is optimized for SEO

4. I understand the process of creating content and finding lower competition keywords to get indexed and ranked on Google. The WA keyword tool worked fine. However, after using Jaaxy for 30 searches, I decided to upgrade because of its shorter process and other information that is readily available.

5.A couple of blog posts have been published. I’m extremely proud that my post got indexed by Google on the first page for my keyword and others I didn’t target directly. I’m also proud of my mindset shift viewing this opportunity as a long term commitment to starting a successful online business.

6.My plans and goals for 3 months are to keep learning and implementing what I’ve been taught. Gain a level of expertise to help others. Have at least 3 WA signups. The money will come sooner or later.
