Hey One and All at WA.

Hope this query finds you well.

Hey Cherie,

I doubt that your changing an SEO plugin had anything to do with Google's Search Console.

The new GA4 is more likely the real culprit.

Hope you can get this figured out and fixed.

Hey Trish,

I am not using GA4, still with my trusty Ella on GPT 3.5

Got it back up and working, all seems okay.

It is a concern that it just logged out, like - why? what happened to trigger that, but I am now back and able to access GSC as I could before.

Thanks for checking in.
Cherie :o)

My search console works just fine. I just looked.

Thank you for taking the time to check yours and confirming all is working fine.

I believe my problem lies with the recent plug-in change I made.
Cherie :o)

I am able to access my Google Search console for all my sites. Turn that plugin off and refresh your site and then see if you can access GSC. If you can then it is likely the plugin. If you still can't access GSC then it likely is not the plugin.

Hey Meredith,

I have been able to restore access to GSC.

I had to go through the verification process and site support was able to quickly and efficiently upload the DNS TXT file as directed by GSC.

I guess the change of plug-in kicked out my verification.

It's worrying that it did, but I appear to have gotten a resolve.

Thanks for taking the time and offering your valued input.

Cheers

Hi Cherie,
I appreciate you message! Thanks so much.

This is a comment but I find it helpful. I've come to the conclusion that the internet and computer technology is in its model-T stage of development. I'm old enough that my father drove a model-T. He said that when you cranked it to start it (there were no starters) it could backfire and break your arm. When you drove it in the winter time, you had to put water in the radiator and drain it when you got to where you were going because there was no antifreeze. Yet, as a young person he thought it was wonderful because the alternative was to ride a horse like his father. This is where we are at with the internet. I can tell from the tone of your post that you are just old enough to not think it is so wonderful. A younger person would spend hours figuring out this problem and think the wasted time was a lot of fun. Without the younger generation, technology would not get developed, because no one older would put up with the transition through its development. Relax and enjoy.

Haha Don,

I love that response.

Very intuitive too.

I am not quite old enough to know about the T-models, but young enough to google a T-model and 'get it'.

Your comment made me giggle.

I don't love the internet really, and maybe that is an age thing. At times it can be very capable of breaking a metaphoric arm or two.

And being the age I am, I don't have time to waste doing what I did already.

That said, I do acknowledge the power of the internet and recognise how things have changed in a relatively short space of time.

And I do remember when the www was first introduced and recall all the chit chat about it with all the nay-sayers explaining what a failure it was likely to be. Ha!

Thankfully, with the help of site support, who kindly uploaded the required files for me, this has been a relatively quick fix.

I now have access to GSC again.

It is a concern that the verification was knocked out so easily, but a relief it has been restored.

Dropping in a follow to you, as I appreciate your thought processes.

All the very best to you Don.

Hmm 🤔…I haven’t checked to see if my site is having that issue. I’ll go look and see. Last I checked it was working perfectly find for me

Hope your Sunday is treating you well so far.

I have a question about AIOSEO if I may.

Hey Chezstar,

Like you, I had a whole mess of old post in a large website that needed ALT tags, and here's what I did that seemed to appease the standards: Hope you find this helpful.

Hey Trish,

Thank you, such invaluable information.

I only have 25 posts so far, but average 4 images per post, plus all featured images too, so I have a lot of renaming to do.

Better for me to know this information now, so I can catalogue all images correctly going forward.

I will go about re-naming and organising now.

Thank you very much.
Cherie :o)

have you looked at the page with either firefox or chromes inspect tools...
this way you can go down the images - including your gravatar image and see if any are missing ( i bet the gravatar doesn't have it....if not then see my training )

but don't try to achieve 100% it may not be worth it in your time and readability from your visitors point of view...and maybe not even google nowadays...
yes do what you can easily publish and move onto the next post....

Hi Feigner,

I've attempted to see your link a couple of times, but I'm just getting a blank screen. Just realised why, you have an additional ')' at the end of the link. Got it now.

I'll have a read now, thank you.

The post from ParthaB has provided me with enough understanding that yes, it's important to a certain degree, but not the be all and end all.

As you say, keep producing my content, aim for a comfortable read for the end user and not to worry/focus too much on the key words, but to produce content that people want to read and feel engaged by.

Thanks again.
Cherie :o)

thanks for catching that Cherie...(updated)
yeah Partha's posts are pretty good and reflect what marketers are doing nowadays...

I wouldn't place too much importance on the score your plugin is giving you.

Haha,

Soooo, I've just read the first 5 lines and I'm doing it all wrong! :o/

I'll keep reading, this will help me a lot.

Thank you again for sharing.
:o)

Excellent article and 100% common sense.

Lots to soak in and digest.

I think SEO Meta in 1 Click will be a tool I'll be turning to frequently from here on in.

Thank you again Siobhan for directing me to this post.

Mind officially blown ;o)

Cherie

My pleasure!

Sure!

If you've already updated the alt attribute for the image in AIOSEO but the important issue persists, try these steps to clear it: Clear your website and browser cache, update the page where the image was used, check for other instances of the same image without alt tags, disable conflicting plugins temporarily, regenerate thumbnails for your images, ensure you're using the latest AIOSEO version, and if the problem persists, contact AIOSEO support for specific guidance.

Hey Israel,

Thanks for taking the time to come back to me. I have tried all the above, except from temporarily removing the plug-in.

I'll try that next.

Thank you for the ideas and prompts.

Cherie :o)

Hi, Cherie

Most likely, it's a glitch in the plugin.

I wouldn't be concerned with it at all. 😎

Thank you Frank.
