A while ago I shared a post with you and mentioned my dad and how he had been told that there was nothing more they could do for him because his cancer had spread and was aggressive.

On the 26th May 2021, I had to say goodbye to my poor dad as he lost his battle with the cancer.

As he was my biggest influence and my rock, I have decided to share some quotes about the bond between dads and their daughter's.

I know there will be a lot of dads and daughters here within this great community that will agree with me.

I know it hasn't been a long time but I always will miss my dad. He was a gentleman but also the king of windups. He loved a laugh and enjoyed life to the full.

It has taken me a while to post this but I think it has been a help.

The weekend is almost over again so

Very heartfelt and true post about your father, Cheryl! He loves it too, I am sure! Even though he has passed from this earthly plain, he will always live in your heart and mind--still giving advice and words of comfort to you when they are most needed!

Jeff🙏

Thanks Jeff,

Yes, I can just imagine him watching down on us and making sure we are behaving and keeping us on the straight and narrow lol.

He will definitely never be forgotten, He was my biggest influence and I have a huge amount of memories of things we did together. I do and always will miss him.

I completely understand, Cheryl, but also remember that he lives with you in your heart!

Jeff🙏

He always will do Jeff.

Thank you and hope you are doing well friend. xxx

That's awesome, Cheryl! I am doing well and hope you are too!

Jeff

Good Morning Cheryl,

When our parents leave we are left with a big hurt.
Luckily over time, the sorrow will diminish but the lovely memories will remain.

With a big Hug,

Taetske

Hi Taetske,

Sorry for the late reply but it has been a horrible time recently. As well as losing my dad, 8 weeks later my mother-in-law passed away.

I know it will get easier over time and you are right I will always have my memories of them both.

Thank you for your hug. xxxx

Hi Cheryl
Thank you for sharing
I know you are still hurting and you can hurt for as long as you wish

There is no time limit to mourn the hero that brought you into this world. :)

He will always be your dad. Your memories will live on forever.

I know that you got some relief by sharing on this platform and I'm so happy that WA provided such a safe place for you to share.

Just a suggestion, why not write some poem or collection of wonderful stories, put it in an ebook and share.

It may or may not resonate with you. It will give you some relief of sharing but it can also act as some sort of joy to others, especially those that didn't have that wonderful opportunity to have a fantastic dad like yours

Thank you for your lovely words and yes I will always have my memories of my time with my dad.

Thank you for your suggestion of writing poems or stories. I couldn't do it just now but I will certainly keep it in mind for later.xxx

You're welcome

Thank you for posting this. I hope it helped to soothe you. He would be proud of the beautiful tribute.
Blessings to you
Stephen

Thanks Stephen and yes it did help me sharing this.

He would be telling me to get a grip lol. xxx

It was nice of you to include all of us so we can share in your tribute and maybe shoulder a bit of your grief!
Still praying,
Stephen
