Not Venturing Far Today
Today we have some lovely snowy weather. The forecast for today is for it to snow from 5am to 3pm so good fun.
My friend had her 50th Birthday last weekend and we were supposed to be going out to celebrate today as we didn't get a chance last weekend and typical, the weather is horrible. I don't think we will be going anywhere now. We will just need to reschedule to another date.
I do like the snow and love watching it falling when it's big flakes as it looks so nice. When you get an area that is covered and no one has walked in it, I think it looks so peaceful. The only thing though is it makes you want to go and walk about or play snowangels and then it is ruined.
Well as it is Saturday and I don't have anywhere else to go, I will assume that it will just be a day in the house which I like anyway. I hope you all have something a bit more interesting and exciting to do for the weekend.

Staying inside for the snow is best. We just got rain on top of snow. Snow is melted now, so it's just a muddy mess. Don't feel alone. I'm not going anywhere either.Our country road doesn't have any rock left on it, so feel thankful you have something pretty to see out your window!

It was lovely to look at but we were the same as yourself as it went to rain and washed all the snow away. We still have some lying about here and there but nothing compared to what we had yesterday.

Enjoy your weekend anyway, sounds like you have a great plan. In Cyprus we had torrential downpour of rain this morning and it is still quite cool (12 degrees) for us. So done the shopping, will be lighting the log fire and enjoying a restful afternoon also. Oh apart from taking the dogs for a walk in between the rain. Have a great one.

Yes, I had a day in the house not doing very much. Our snow turned to rain and then washed most of the snow away. Hope you had a nice relaxing day too apart from having to take the dogs out in the rain.

It is below freezing in Illinois, USA and I have a 5K race this morning. Weather forecast says it will be at freezing at race time. Would really like to go back to bed under nice warm blanket, but I need to get back to exercising and this is a good way.

HI Cheryl. While I do agree that it is beautiful watching it fall but memories of it when I was a little boy in Chicago and having to walk to school in it and the few years I again lived in it as an adult were that the cold and snow just lingers far too long for me. maybe that's why I ended up in Florida and for the last decade in Hong Kong :-)
