Is This Result Good or Bad

Below shows the results from Google Analytics for one of my sites. Now the thing is I feel stupid asking this question because I have been here for a year and a half now and I am not sure whether this is good or bad.

Can someone please just say it is good or it is bad so that I will know from now on when I look.

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone.

We need to know if this is daily, weekly, monthly etc. Go to the upper right hand corner of the screen in Google Analytics and you can change the date range there. It defaults to the previous week so I assume your numbers above are for a week. I think your numbers are pretty good. Are you going to monetize it soon? When you do you will want to get higher traffic numbers but otherwise it looks good.

I have a pretty high bounce rate but that is ok since many of them look at a specific page they found through an organic search to answer a question and then click off to go through my Amazon links. There they can buy something so I don't really mind when I have a high bounce rate. It can mean they are finding what they came for.

Hi Jessica, thanks for replying to this and I will certainly look again at analytics. When it comes to understanding these kind of things I sound stupid as I really have no idea. I am not actually selling anything from my site however, I do have my Amazon Affiliate ad and the Adsense ad on my site as well as putting in links to things when I do my posts, other than that what else can you suggest that I do to monetize it.

Jessica, all help is greatly appreciated, believe me. xxx

I will look at your site and see.

Cheryl,
It looks like you do not have any links for the Kindle and other products for sale! I can click on your pictures but I am not taken to Amazon to buy them as I expected!

This is easy to fix. Log into Amazon Associates. You can just go to Amazon like regular if you are signed in. Search for the product in question such as the Kindle Fire 7 or whatever. Get the Amazon link for the item (this is easy if you have loaded the Amazon Associates Site Stripe first, it is basically a toolbar that sits at the top of your screen when you are in Amazon). Click on it to get the link you want. In this case you want Image or Image or Text + Image. Copy the link. Then go into your post and add the link. I can help you more with this if you need.

When you have the link inserted and update the post you should have the Amazon image of the product there and when someone clicks on it they will be taken to that product on Amazon. This makes it easy for someone to buy it if they want. If they click off and look at something else and buy it while on Amazon, you get the commission for whatever they buy.

Do this for each post's product if you want. However, make sure you have a long enough post if you put a link in it. You don't want Google thinking your posts are too "thin" with not enough content to back up the sales link.

I hope this helps. This is how I do most all of my posts, with an Amazon Text+Image link for each product. I also add Text only links to Amazon so my post is not full of the same images over and over but it gives people multiple places to click. You might not need to do this since your posts are much shorter. Mine are usually 800+ words.

Let me know if you need any more ideas!

Jessica

Thanks so much Jessica and I will do that too. I may come back to you though lol. xxx

For me it is good because you have new and recurring visitors, and your bounce rate is 0%!

Thanks Nick, you are very welcome and I really do not know what to think about this. I may have to ask Kyle or Carson and see what they think. xxx

Yes do that...:)

I think I will Nick, thanks. xxx

Really helpful question Cheryl. Sadly, I can't help yet, I'll be interested to hear answers from those more knowledgeable than me in this area! But I hope it will mean more chocolate for you! Have a good rest-of-the-week, Sue :)

Thanks very much Sue and I do hope it means more chocolate for me lol. I am really not sure thought what it means.

Me to, it would be nice to know what the results mean. I have viewed your website and it has everything on it, that I would expect a website to have. I will look at the comments to see what all the other expert entrepreneurs think. It's good to raise these issues and your concerns.

A good follow up from Tony, I see, which is very helpful.

Thanks very much, I appreciate any help at all. xxx

Greek to me, but I'll look for the replies...

It really depends Cheryl,

Are those results from yesterday?

How do they compare to the day(s) before?

Are you seeing sales?

At first glance your bounce, your bounce rate of 0% looks good but if sales aren't resulting then the bounce rate isn't good.

91.3% new sessions looks like you have a lot of new visitors which is good but that also means that only 8.7% are returning which isn't good.

I personally look to get about 66% new and 34% returning visitors.

Session duration of only 1.16 minute average isn't good either unless sales are increasing.

2.61 pages per session is a pretty decent amount.

Without seeing your days before and knowing if sales are increasing, it's really hard to determine if it's good or bad Cheryl.

Let me know if this helps in any way for you my Friend,

Tony

Well yes and no. I am not actually selling anything on my site, it is more to do with the different ways we can use to read books such as on a kindle, or braille or audio books. Not sure if this helps you. How can I find out what the results were from the day before, is there a way you can check?

Yes they were from yesterday. xxx

Cheryl,

I just visited your site.

Is it the one with the purple background that has Amazon UK and Google Adsense advertising?

How are those sales?

Increasing, decreasing or the same?

Tony

Yes it is Tony, thanks. Adsense seems to go up by I have never noticed anything from Amazon but haven't checked it for a while so will do so now and let you know. xxx

Hi Tony, they are just the very same, absolutely rubbish. Feel that I am totally wasting my time.

Thanks for telling me. xxx

I think I see!
Thanks, Tony!

I want to know as well

Thanks Nick, I will let you know when I find out. xxx
