3 Trips And No Further Forward

Well after my previous blog, I have been back to the Doctors and am now on lot 3 of different antibiotics.

Last Monday when I was there he was concerned that I still had the pain in my stomach round where my gall bladder is. He asked me to let him know on Thursday if I was still feeling rotten and he would try and get me a quicker scan. I thought that he was just going to ask for the one that was scheduled for 3 months to be brought forward. However, on speaking to him on the phone he told me that he was very concerned about my gall bladder and once again I was shipped off to A&E.

On arriving at the Surgical Admissions Unit, I realised that I was in for a long wait as it was extremely busy. I settled myself down with my colouring app to pass the time as I had forgotten my book. Then I was eventually taken to where the Consultant was. I really felt it was a waste of time because as it was so busy it was as quick as the Doctor could see me and move on. I was quickly told that the bloods I'd had taken were normal and that she would organise an MRI scan for me and if that was no good then an endoscopy.

I sat there thinking why did I bother, this was not what my Doctor had sent me in for. I was then informed that my scan was going to be the next day which was yesterday (Friday). So off I went yet again into the same Dept for to get the MRI scan. I then had to wait for about 2-3 hours to see the Consultant (same one as the day before) only to find out that again it was a wasted trip as the scan came back normal.

So I left the hospital, still with the pain and sick feeling and no further forward as to what is causing it. I now have to wait for an appointment for an emergency endoscopy. Unfortunately, I have no idea as to when it will be. I only hope that it shows up what the cause of the pain is so I can get it sorted and get rid of it.

At the minute I am no good to man nor beast as my mind is totally blank (nothing new there), I can't even think what I can blog about and I know some of you will be shouting at me that there is always something but my brain is not taking in anything at all. All I am ready for at the moment is

Enjoy what's left of your weekend everyone and have a good week.

I am glad that everything is showing up normal for you, but you will still have to find out what is causing the pain so you can feel better. Your brain will not function properly now because you are still having problems.

Take a little time out and try to relax. All the best.

Hi Elores and thank you very much for your kind wishes. I would say that my brain has never functioned properly lol.

All joking aside though, the endoscopy is the one thing I do want to just get over with and hopefully I can get to the bottom of this. It was one of those situations that you do and you don't want anything to show up.

Thank you and that is one thing that I have been doing is relaxing. xxx

My goodness...didn't realize you were so distressed. It's so frustrating when tests show there is nothing wrong and your still in pain. Just rest and feel better soon.
Debbie

Hi Debbie, thank you and I am starting to feel better thankfully. It is annoying because you want something to show up so they can sort it but you don't want anything to show up either at the same time.

I am just waiting on an endoscopy appointment now and then hopefully I can find out what's causing the pain. xxx

Sorry to hear you are going through this. Hope it gets sorted soon. Try and rest a bit and forget about anything else. Your health is number 1.
Take care and update us when you can.
Colette and Philip

Thanks Colette and Philip,

Was at the Doc yesterday and he said that the MRI scan showed that there was no gall stones and that the scan had showed up that the infection in my lung was a lot better.

Just need to get the endoscopy out the road now and hopefully find out whats causing the pain. xxxx

That's some good news, Cheryl.
Hopefully, the endoscopy will give you more information. Hate to think of you in pain!

Ahh poor baby. Yes the hospital system is slow and takes a patient soul to continue.

Let us know how the endoscopy went.

I'm not too crash hot myself and I know what the head feels like,
nothing new coming to mind.

Keep us posted as you are one of my favourite members.

Cheers Jae ♥♥♥

Awwww thank you so much Jae.

That was so nice to know that I am one of your favourite members. You are so kind.

I certainly will do and hope I don't have to wait too long for it though. xxxx

Hi Jae,

Went to the Doc yesterday (Monday) and he was telling me that the MRI scan from Friday had shown that there was no gall stones or infection on my gall bladder which was good. Also, they had been able to see my lungs on the scan and they were a lot better too.

Only need to get this endoscopy out the road now and hopefully it will show up something so I can find out whats causing the pain and sick feeling.

He did tell me that the chest infection had been a really bad one which has left me still with some lingering symptoms.

Hope you are feeling better yourself. xxxx

Get some colloidial silver this is really good for clearing up infections, you can even put it in your eyes that's how gentle it is. You can get band aids with silver added and boy they work better.

Rest is sometimes all we can do. I have been in bed off and on for
6 days, it was a pain in the neck, ha ha really. Still stiff but feeling better but tricky driving the car as turning the head is somewhat hard.

Best of luck with the last test.

Cheers Jae ☼

Get better

Thank you very much. xx

I hope you get the treatment you need sooner rather than later Cheryl. It sounds very frustrating :(
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Cheers
Melissa

Thanks Melissa, just waiting on a date for the endoscopy now. The MRI showed that there were no gall stones or infection on the gall bladder and also that the infection on my lungs was improving and that they looked better. xxx

I'm so sorry to hear you've been put through the ringer Cheryl. It must be frustrating and stressful in addition to the physical discomfort. I hope you'll be getting a diagnosis and proper treatment soon!
Erica

Hi Erica, hope you are well and everything is going great for you.

It is frustrating as you want and you don't want something to show up but when nothing shows up and you feel crap it can be disheartening.

I am waiting on an appointment for an endoscopy but the MRI scan on my gall bladder was clear and it also showed that the infection on my lungs was clearing up which was good news. xxxx

That's great to hear Cheryl. I had a little scare last week with what I thought was a kidney stone. I had one 10 years ago and had similar symptoms. Luckily the symptoms have mysteriously vanished. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My kids are flying home today for the Thanksgiving holiday and the last place I want to be is at the hospital!
xoxo
Erica

welcome, you have to work on everything
yet to be comfortable with the usefulness

Thank you very much. xxx

Cheryl, may I ask what country you live in? I don't understand why your appointments are taking so long and so far apart. Are you allowed to use over the counter medication like antacids? I would try to stop drinking coffee alcohol and any spicy foods( eat a bland diet). Also be careful with aspirin( make sure they are enteric coated) these small step will help if you gastritis or an ulcer. I sorry you are in so much pain.
your friend Sandy

feel free to contact me if I can help. I'm a licensed Nurse practitioner.

Hi Sandy,

I live in Scotland, it always takes ages for us to get appointments for things. I already take ranitidine for excess acid (600mcg). I can't take Omeprazole or Lansoprazole as the give me the most horrible taste in my mouth. I haven't had alcohol since this started playing up and I can't eat spicy foods as it feels like the back of my mouth and throat are on fire. I am afraid to say that one thing I cannot give up is coffee sorry. xxxx

Thanks Sandy, I am ok at the moment but if I need to I will contact you. xxx

It sounds like you are doing everything you can do from your end. The only other thing I could suggest is to eliminate all fatty foods. e.g., bacon and eggs etc. Stay in touch.
Sandy xxx

I will do Sandy and one thing I never really eat is bacon because I don't like the fat on it. Eggs I tend to prefer boiled or poached than fried.

I will let you know how I get on, thanks Sandy. xxx

Hi Sandy,

Waiting on a date for an endoscopy now. The MRI showed that there were no gall stones or infection on the gall bladder and also that the infection on my lungs was improving and that they looked better. xxx

Hope you feel better Cheryl is the pain on the left? If so Have they ruled out diverticulitis?

Hi, thank you and no the pain is on the right. My Gall bladder was the one thing that they were concerned about. xxxx
