It is now official. Google will shut down Google + on April 2, 2019. That means you have a few months to export all your data from G+ before it is gone for good. So, if you have any Google + pages you created, you better go get them before they are gone for good.

Here is a great article for how to export your data from G+ before April 2nd:

I am personally very disappointed that this is happening. I like G+. Oh well, there is plenty of other social media outlets to post articles to.

Hope this helps some of you.

Wow! Thank you for sharing about this. It is sad to hear... I shall check out the article on how to export above.

I was curious so I looked it up. Here is an article I found by Motley Fool - https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/10/08/google-plus-going-away-consumers.aspx. The article mentioned that Google is giving consumer 10 months to move off Google Plus -- near the end of August 2019. This is only information if interested...

Yes, you will have some months to move stuff, just no more posting after April 2nd.

I heard this was going to happen but was not sure. i think they were a little less popular than the other social media outlets.

They probably are but I liked their format.

Is it a shame this is happening and thanks for the link

Have a great day

I know Andre. Maybe they will change their mind or replace it with something else.

That would be nice

Thanks for the heads up, Curtis. Sad to see it go but what do you do except move on... I guess.

1

Sad but true. Plenty of other places to put our content and posts.

Thanks for sharing the info.

You are very welcome Sharon.

Good to know the date. However, as I have only shared pages from my website, I shouldn't need to delete anything.

2

You are lucky then.

Heart sunk, poor G+ I regret not using this more.

I have used it for every article I wrote.
