Google + Official Shutdown Date Announced

Last Update: January 30, 2019

It is now official. Google will shut down Google + on April 2, 2019. That means you have a few months to export all your data from G+ before it is gone for good. So, if you have any Google + pages you created, you better go get them before they are gone for good.

Here is a great article for how to export your data from G+ before April 2nd:

I am personally very disappointed that this is happening. I like G+. Oh well, there is plenty of other social media outlets to post articles to.

Hope this helps some of you.

Hello Curtis,

Thank you for the update and for the article on how export our data. I have heard that Google + is closing some time this year. I agree with you, this was a great social media platform and one that most of us will miss.

Good to know the date. However, as I have only shared pages from my website, I shouldn't need to delete anything.
