3 months in WA

I have been part of the community here at WA for 3 months now. When I first joined up I was a little skeptical because....well, I always am ;)

After 3 months I can honestly say, "Best thing I ever did in my whole life!"

The first website I created was a disaster in every way, it made me extremely frustrated and helped me decide this entire concept of affiliate marketing was beyond me. So I stopped banging my head on that wall and started the boot camp training.

Everything became so much clearer so much faster. Things that had meant nothing when I was trying to understand them at first suddenly started clicking into the puzzle and I was beginning to see a picture unfold.

I stopped trying to fight with my first failure website and just created a better one that I could understand. Then I created another website purely to help me understand the process.

This website is about Kids' Fitness and my daughter is helping me create it. We had no intention of this website "going" anywhere, certainly not producing income, it was just a learning platform for both of us to better understand the aspects and steps to creating a successful website and then for me to understand how to monetize said site.

This was all gibberish to me 3 months ago, by the way :)

As part of this learning process I joined an affiliate program and put a link on the site, a very ugly, badly placed link that would never work, but that was okay because I hadn't learnt how to neatly place my ads in the sidebar like I saw on others' webpages, and I knew eventually I would learn this so I satisfied myself with learning something new.

Then I get an email telling me I have earned my first commission through previously mentioned web link. Less than 12 hours since this link got placed. A thought strikes me at this point. I have joined the greatest online learning platform known to man - this program is teaching me things in months that I expected would take years to learn.

After my first month I paid the Premium subscription for 12 months because I assumed it would take at least 12 months to learn such a complex and difficult new skill. I never expected to earn anything from my efforts for this amount of time. If I was earning a Diploma at college it would take me much longer than this to turn a profit on my learning, but gee whiz - WA is different.

Whatever you do next, don't give up on yourself or your ability to learn what is taught here. Anyone can do this, I am living, breathing proof of that. Not saying this is easy, but it is proven to work in my mind now because I have watched it do so, and in an amazingly short time.

But wait, there's more...When looking up ideas for my next blog post on previously mentioned Kids' Fitness website, I notice I am the top of page 2 on Google for my main keyword phrase. You are kidding me? I don't understand SEO and have only done the bare minimum (with stacks of external help - thanks guys) I shouldn't be anywhere near Google.

This is an amazing opportunity and journey for anyone to take. I am so grateful for finding WA. I can't imagine life without this wonderful experience and it has been a lot more fun than it should be too. Thanks everyone!
