No, I did not live with my parents when I first started, only roomates! Honestly, I made $1600 my first month and it grew from there until the point that I'm at now (averaging around 12k a month). However, I have an immediate family member who is a successful marketer. So when I first started he helped me along for a few months and then let me on my own from there.
haha, wow. That's a lot... I wish I was making that much, lol. I messed up a lot starting out but I'm making a few hundred each month now. Nothing compared to what you're doing. I screwed around on Street Articles forever figuring out how Google's optimization works, and I've pretty much become an article marketing expert from it. (my best article is http://goo.gl/ESnoY). After my sophomore year of college though this summer, I've been hitting my own sites pretty hard. One of the sites I'm working really hard on right now is www.slayton1s.com (partly since many people relate online money making sites to scams since about 34/35 of them are either over-priced or guru related).
