Don't let Poor Grammar and Spelling Stop You!
I was very intimidated when I joined WA, I loved to write but sucked when it came to grammar and spelling. Back in school I would get good grades on my writing but was always handed back my paper covered with RED pen marks correcting my grammar and spelling. Unfortunately, back then we didn't have spellcheck or anything to help with grammar. Wow have things changed, now I can write and have my spelling automatically checked for errors. But what about my grammar? Well, I was still struggling with this and would try to get family members to proof read my work. I am a night owl and do my best writing at night after everyone has gone to sleep. It's hard to get someone to look over my work at 3am in the morning, this was becoming very frustrating. Well, a few days ago I was reading some new posts here, someone was talking about using Grammarly. I thought to myself, hmm could this be what it sounds like? Is there really a tool to help me with my grammar? So I went and typed it into a Google search, low and behold there is a real add-on that will help me correct all my grammar errors. As soon as I had it installed and added to my browser I began to go back over my work and make all the corrections that needed to be made. I am truly amazed at how helpful this has been, I no longer have to worry about my terrible spelling and grammar and can continue to write freely.
I hope this will help anyone who is in the same boat I was in, here is the link.
To everyone's success here at WA!
Have a great day,
Cathy

Best tool ever, I am hopeless with grammar and spelling but Grammarly solved this problem. Now I write with confidence.
Thanks Cathy.
Cheers Kev
Grammarly is a great tool.....the nice part is that you learn at the same time! This really comes in handy for times when I have been wording something a certain way for a long time...then find out it was wrong all along...lol. Don't feel bad about it.....I think you're doing a great job!
I was amazed at how well it helped. Thanks for the compliment, now I can keep moving forward.
This is a great discovery. You will see posts, from a few WAers, that are caution notices for common grammar mistakes. Microsoft word doesn't correct grammar errors, but will point them out to be corrected.
I used Grammarly as a plagiarism checker and was modestly impressed with it. I hope it is working well for you.
Hey Cat, Cathy, cool tool...You used it on this blog, huh? I can feel your confidence growing, calmer writings forth coming. I will use it. Do you have any ideas for small virtual cell keyboards? Lol

Give it a try, I have found it to be very helpful. Sorry can't help you small virtual cell keyboards, not sure what that is.
Lol..Cathy, it's a flat on the cell screen keyboard that probably would work well for someone who had a 3 year old's tiny little digits to fit the tiny keys that appear to be about font 8...yea, I have glasses...

I not surprised at ALL that you already knew about grammarly. ( were you the guy that had all those error messages all over the net a little while ago? No doubt you could...Oh, yea, you can't tell me, Im sure. lol)

No, that was someone else. I'm a professional editor for over 35 years. I don't *need* Grammarly - other people do. LOL
