Indexed for the First Time After Transferring My Domain and Homepage to WA
I'm so glad to take the plunge with WA.
After working around on WA site and mingling with the community since last December, I decided to transfer my domain and three-year-old homepage where I showcase my portfolio from another web host to WA.
Given that my homepage and domain specific email accounts are my bread-and-butter now, I was understandably nervous about this transfer. The process was seamless and quick, thanks to the timely and helpful support from the technical team.
WA delights me with support that I didn't receive in the past, like an easy to use interface (you should see how annoying it is to use the cPanel, especially for a technical idiot like me). Now, I've a dashboard that tells me how my website is doing, like getting indexed by Google!
This is a really big encouragement for me, and makes me more determined to do a good job with online writing. The only concern I have with WA website takes up a fair bit of my processor so it causes my laptop to lag if I leave the page on. To circumvent this issue, I try to limit my actvities on my laptop and split these on different machines if needed.
Still, I am very happy with my switch so far. With WA, the domain cost half of what it used to be (I've been taken for a ride in the past, duhh!), and now, I can host multiple sites which turns out to be reasonable with the rate I am paying. Besides, the community and help here are excellent.
I am definitely looking forward to become an online enterprenuer with the help of WA!

Congrats! I had the same trepidations moving an 8-year-old site to Wealthy Affiliate. But it went well.
Oh wow, I'm so happy to hear that! Are you happy continuing with WA? Is it easier to work on your site after the switch?
I miss my cPanel. Mostly because I don't like using an ftp application to upload files to my website. I provide upgraded content in the form of pdf files, checklists, etc.
I also have a website hosted elsewhere that runs some apps that WA does not support. The hosting company provides support using a ticket system (like WA). But also has telephone and live chat support with the technical staff.
