The School Child's Calendar

We are almost at the end of the 1st month, in the 2nd quarter of 2022. As a parent, I follow a school child's calendar. That means I have already started to roll out our end of year plans.

Today, Zafirah returned to full-time, physical school after over 2 years of being online. This is the shortest term of the school calendar year for 2021/2022 with 12 weeks. The term will end on Friday 8 July 2022.

We head off to Europe in July for 6 weeks, returning to Trinidad in time for the start of the new school year in September. Our Christmas Season also starts in September, the 15th to be exact.

The end of 2022 is just a few months away. So, allow me to ask again.

What Are Your Plans For Tomorrow?

If Prince Partha is reading this, he would already have exclaimed:

"Not one damn thing!"

And he would be spot on too. Do you know why?

Because it NEVER comes!!!!!!!!!

This perhaps is my biggest beef with most people - putting off for tomorrow what they could do TODAY. Today is the only day you have. If you are lucky you MAY get tomorrow.

The reality is you don't actually know, do you?

Before You Know It, You're Hoping

So many of the comments I read in WA are from members congratulating others for their success while saying things like:

"I HOPE to make it."

Or,

"I am HOPING that I can get there sometime."

In reality, hoping is not a process.

"Hoping" should not be in your vocabulary. Things will only happen if YOU make them happen and the only way to make them happen is to get started - TODAY.

NOW!

Please. Don't settle into hope for tomorrow. Don't wait and don't delay.

If you truly want different results, change your script, today!

Today I got my stuff together again after 4 days of needed relaxation. Just renewed my no.1 website so must have bee here a year..or..hmm..what a great idea.lol.
Anyway 75% of my way through my 2nd post and am negotiating a business op in Thailand.
And have 2 more teachers to place… brain fried after only 1 day back..love it.
Stephen

You are a busy one, Stephen.

I relaxed as well over Easter.
4 lovely days with my daughter.

When you say: "have 2 more teachers to place", what does that mean?

Cassi

I am finding some schools in Vietnam , English teachers for the students.
A bit tired, hope it makes sense. Lol.
Stephen

A great post, Cassi. Today is all we have. I like it. Yesterday is past and tomorrow is a promise. You are correct, tomorrow may never happen.
Thinking that we will accomplish tomorrow what we failed to do today is counter productive.

Of course we cannot do everything in one day, but we can fill our todays with as much as possible and make better tomorrows.

Alex

Absolutely, Alex!

I am helping my daughter to appreciate that fact as well.
Coming out of 2 years of lockdown, much time was spent on digital devices.
It is time to change the script and return to getting involved and doing more with our days.

I trust that all is well with you.

Cassi

I admit I was confused at first by the title of your post, Cassi.

But now I see your point.

Who plans for tomorrow when you can get things done today? I like to get things done as soon as possible.

Appreciate the post.

Isaiah 😊

The confusion got you clicking, Isaiah. ;-)

WA is good that way.
We get to experiment with titles.

The key thing is to do what you can today.
Do not procrastinate.

Thanks for sharing.
Cassi

Never put off until tomorrow what one can do today Cassi... who knows tomorrow may never come after all!

If you happen to get near my neck of the woods on your travels then you can always count on me as someone to share a quick bottle of red with my friend! :-)

That would be great, Nick!

Where are you based?

Cassi

It would indeed Cassi!

I live in the (apparent) French food capital, Lyon my friend!

That is awesome, Nick!

We may just get there. :-)
Cassi

Well if you do, it would be a pleasure to show you around some of sights here Cassi! :-)

I would appreciate that, Nick.

I will keep in touch and let you know when we are closer to our dates.

Thanks again!
Cassi

Very welcome my friend.. speak soon ok!:-)

There's always truth in your words, Cassi!

Thanks for another inspiring post, as it's important to begin a task and not think of beginning it.

Have a lovely trip to Europe, this summer, and a delightful spring until then!

Keep on thriving!

Al

We are at the end of our "Dry Season" now, in Trinidad.
Our "Rainy Season" begins on 1 June.
For me, it is the best time of year.

Europe will be great!

Many thanks.
