Icebergs fascinate me!

They are some of the most breathtakingly beautiful formations on earth. They are also some of the most dangerous.

The movie 'Titanic' provides a haunting reminder of their beauty and destruction.

Success works the very same way and we are fortunate to learn how to build our passive success iceberg at Wealthy Affiliate (WA). Remember though that they could also be destructive to you, so take time to understand and build formidable successes.

What You See

When you think about success, you tend to be immediately attracted to real time - the now or present day. Looking at it in the present moment makes it look easily achievable and embracing.

We have a lot of those success stories here at WA.

These are 4 of our Super Affiliates and they are super successful!

You may have joined WA because you want to be like them and earn a lot of money.

Who doesn't?

But have you really internalised what it took them to get there?

What You Don't See

THIS IS WHAT YOU DON'T SEE!

Can you see what is under that iceberg?

That is all the years of hard work, learning, failing and trying again, researching, writing, reading, discussing, questioning, observing and sacrificing that went into that emerging iceberg that you see.

Too many people have an expectation that their success should or would be instant. It just does not happen that way. Not if it is meaningful and sustainable.

And that is what we learn to do at WA.

We learn to build and grow meaningful, sustainable and successful businesses. You have the opportunity to be as diverse as you want to be but, it will not happen overnight.

Wealthy Affiliate Works - Follow The Training

The reality of this hit me yesterday morning as I was reviewing my statistics and achievements. I have set myself some very aggressive goals over the next 3 months. They are not primarily money related but mostly geared towards building my foundation.

The part of the iceberg that you do not see.

Perhaps this is synergy, but with that approach, I notice that success is starting to emerge in all areas of my business plan - some ahead of the timeline I have set.

MY PASSIVE SUCCESS WA ICEBERG

Becoming an Ambassador was not in my plans for year 1 of my business plan. I simply continue to do what we are taught to do at WA.

Waking up on Monday and starting the week seeing that my rank points had jumped over 3,000 points was unbelievable for me. It took a while to digest it.

Commit To Your Success - Make It Happen

I am graduating as a WA Freshman having increased my online income to 5-digits and now ranking 11th at WA. Soon, I will be a Sophomore and I intend to continue, (with life and good health), on the journey that I have started.

Committing to your success means that you will invest what is required to make it happen - sleepless nights and all.

The blessing that we have is being here at WA and having all the resources and support that we need to succeed.

It is the best investment that you will ever make to succeed online BUT! only if you build your iceberg well.

Build well!

j have never been really frightened in my life but one of the things I remember is putting my toe under a moving iceberg on a mountain on New Zealand . Feeling the power of it moving but knowing that if I left it long enough I would have to cut off my own toes

Icebergs can be pretty terrifying, Catherine.
I came across a few scary ones in Alaska and New Zealand.
Can't imagine what the Titantic passengers went through.

Thank you for your feedback.

One of the things that struck me early on (and thinking about it, probably the reason why I have used 'ten years' as an acceptable period of time to realise my ambitions.) while watching and listening to countless 'How I got where I am today' stories, was that the vast majority of those telling their tale, all started their quest close to ten years ago, give or take a year or two.

Of course, there were a few exceptions but those who were truly established and at the forefront of their business model, had all taken this kind of timeframe to achieve the status they now had.

There is a tendency to assume that creating a internet business overnight is a 'piece of cake' and that anyone can do it. This is courtesy of those out to make 'a quick buck' and those 'types' are predatory in their very nature but, I might add, not exclusive to just this industry.

I try to look beyond laying the blame at those who promote the 'Earn $1000 per day within a month' programs because the education needs to come before that.

Why do you need to earn that kind of money NOW and why do you think that you are going to be able to create that kind of income overnight, online ? The answers to those questions opens up an entirely different dialogue.

If I go right back to my first tentative attempts at being self-employed (back when mobile phones were barely mobile due to the weight), never once did someone say that it was going to be a doddle or a breeze, most of the time I was informed not to expect to see any profits for at least three years, minimum.

Your post should remind those who are becoming disillusioned at their lack of success that this is not a 'get rich quick' endeavour.

I found this quote by Walt Disney and if you look at it long enough, you will find one, as there are more, of the main ingredients needed for success. Loved the post by the way, forgot to say that at the beginning of the speech😉🙏.

"When we opened Disneyland, a lot of people got the impressions that it was a get-rich-quick thing, but they didn't realize that behind Disneyland was this great organization that I built here at the Studio, and they all got into it and we were doing it because we loved to do it."

I did an iceburg post as well a while back. It's true though. Often people only see the results and not everything that created those results.

Debbi, thank you for sharing that with me.

Great visualisation and post, Cassi! It shows very well what this is all about. Success doesn´t come over night.

It is hard work and at times it feels like you are not getting anywhere. But being focused and laying out a plan to follow, will result in success in the end.

Roy

So on point, Roy.

There are some days when I struggle and question if there is any value in what I am doing and then "poof", out of nowhere, the iceberg rises.

Have a great day.
