LinkedIn Learning

In 2022, LinkedIn was my best go-to Social Media (SM) platform to boost my traffic to my corporate website, build my professional brand AND get Clients.

It worked like a charm because I worked it. Nothing happens if you do nothing. A lot can happen - can change - if you DO something, no matter how small the effort.

I,
- participated in research,
- got cited in reports,
- was invited as a Guest Speaker to events,
- got new Clients,
- wrote Guest Blogs,
- was a guest on Podcasts, and,
- learned a lot from LinkedIn Learning.

You get the point. I WORKED it!

Because I am so active, LinkedIn gave me rewards such as free courses in LinkedIn Learning. They earn me certificates, if wanted.

Introducing Nano Tips!

This course on Finding Happiness Through Empathy gave me ideas for my website's content. It also woke me up to something that Prince Partha says every so often.

Write short-form content.

LinkedIn calls it Nano Tips and it has tremendous potential for all of us.

Take a look at the agenda for this video-based course.

No module was over one (1) minute - 60 seconds.

I love that!

HERE'S CASSI OF TROY'S NANO TIP:

1. Choose one detail about your Niche.
You could introduce an ingredient, the meaning of a word, how you have used a product recently - some small detail.

2. Write a brief blog post.
Nothing fancy and nothing too long. Better yet, Use voice-to-text and talk it out. Keep it under 60s

3. Do a video of your script.
Keep the video under 60s. You can record yourself, your voice only or use Canva.
Post the video on your You Tube channel.

4. Share your content on SM to boost traffic.

BINGO!

With practice, this will take you less than one (1) hour each day.

That's 365 X 2 pieces of new content for 2023.

And remember: If you want different results this year, you have to Change Your Script!

An Awesome tip, Cassi. This goes hand in hand of not making the process of content creation complicated.

I enjoy LinkedIn. Among the SM's, LinkedIn is the one I feel most at home. But I haven't utilised the power of the platform yet.

I have also tried LikedIn learning and it is great. Highly recommended. The same thing goes for Hubspot and there Academy. Lots of awesome stuff their as well.

Related to Nano content and Nano learning, I agree with you fully. In todays "speedy" civilisation, it will be well received by our audience.

In my opinion add some sprinkling in between with a pillar post or two, the result will be awesome.

Changing my script daily, Nano content is now in my framework to get lots of content out.

Have a fantastic rest of the week, Cassi.

Roy

In 2023, we should work much smarter, Roy.
Quality is also important.

I like the "sprinkling in between with a pillar post or two."

An excellent strategy!

Enjoy your week also.

Thank you.

Good morning Cassi,

Thank you for your blog post. A very happy 2023 to you.

It's great that you have really leveraged the power of LinkedIn, it's something that I'm doing and it's working. Although I still need to do more.

LinkedIn rewards is something that I don't know about, but that sounds interesting. I believe you are a free member, as I am. I keep meaning to take up the free offer on LinkedIn, but I still haven't! My wife tried LinkedIn premium last month for free for one month; she really liked the courses.

It's interesting what you have mentioned about Canva. I have the pro version; most of the time, I just use it for making thumbnails for YouTube videos. I would like to use Canva more. I notice you are using Canva for recording. I believe Canva has loads of features that I do absolutely nothing about! I normally use Camtasia to do my recordings; however, I would be interested to know more about what Canva has to offer.

365×2 equals lots of content! Fantastic!👍👍

I guess that 2023 is the year to change my script!

Have a great weekend.

Roy

Make 2023 the year that you 'Change Your Script', Roy. 🙂
I love that!

Canva is evolving into an excellent one-stop shop.
I am playing around with the video creation now and loving it.
It is much better for what we do, in my opinion.

For now, the free version of LinkedIn is adequate for me.
I find it quite expensive and the return on that investment is not yet justified.

Let us see how the year progresses.

Wishing you a fantastic one!

Hello Cassi,

Thank you for your reply, it's appreciated.

I guess, in some ways, we have two continually change our script, to keep moving forward!

One of the reasons I like Canva, is due to the simplicity of the software, even though I haven't gone very deeply into it! All I know is, it's much easier than other programs I have tried in past! Resizing photographs etc., used to be an absolute nightmare for people like me!

It's great that you are really getting to know Canva, that sounds like a good move. Last year I started learning how to use Camtasia editing software, I have used Camtasia for many years. However, I only knew the basics, so, I'm gradually learning more. I have no idea what the difference between Canva for video and Camtasia would be. Certainly, Camtasia was designed for video and nothing else.

There's so much software out there, it's a job to know what to use sometimes.

That's interesting, Cassi, regarding LinkedIn, as I know you're quite active on the platform. My guess is that the majority of people on the platform are free members. I still need to take advantage of the one-month trial, just to experience it again. I did try many years ago, but I think LinkedIn has changed considerably since then.

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

This is amazing, impressive information. Thank you for sharing the wealth 🐦I love this. Best news this year.

Rachele

You are very welcome, Rachele.

Excellent advice, Cassi! That's essentially how I write a lot of my books--"nano paragraphs"!

Awesome!

Keep succeeding!

Jeff

Thank you, Jeff.

Cassi

You're very welcome, Cassi, and THANK YOU!

Jeff

😎👌

I love this concept! I'm having trouble keeping it short but you show that its worth the effort!!

Stephen

It really is, Stephen.

Practice!

Time yourself and limit your writing.

Cassi

I'm hoping to do just that!
I just sent a connect request on LinkedIn!

Stephen

I will respond, Stephen.

Thank you.
