How Could You?!?!?!?
I'm So Selfish:
As you know, I have been focused on my goal to grow my WA Network to at least 300 Members by 30 November 2019. No emphasis on the financial goals - yet. I want to get to know our WA Members, find some commonality, learn from their differences and bask in the diversity that feeds WA. So, most days, I have been doing just that. Reaching out and enjoying the conversations and exchanges.
I partucularly enjoy welcoming new WA members and new Premium Members. There is a common thread that connects each of us to why we are here and what we want to achieve. A better life - however we define that. This morning however, I realised that I have been selfish and I am not fully embracing the community culture that WA feeds on.
I have not been reciprocating fully and that must change.
My Network Stats
For the first time today I clicked on my Network stats and I was shocked! I felt embarrassed and disappointed.
How could you???!!!! I shouted in my mind.
I did not know that my Network stats shows both who I am following and who I am being followed by.
Following
I am following 348 Friends. Goal met right there. BUT! our Network stats reflect who is following us. BIG difference. Staring at me was a wall of green Follow signs. They were persons who had taken the time to follow me, but to whom I did not reciprocate. To those members, I humbly apologise.
Followed By
244 Friends are following me. That means I have more work to do to reach out and connect with my WA Friends to achieve my Network goal of 300. To those Members who are following me, I say "thank you".
The difference is 104. That is a wide gap. Somewhere in that gap are Members who are being ignored. These Members have taken the time to give of themselves and invite me into their Network. That is an honour and I intend to make good on that and reciprocate.
It is the least that I can do. It is the least that you can do. A small gesture for much, much bigger rewards.
Today, take a few minutes. Click on the Network number on the top left of your Home Page and say "thank You" to your fellow WA Members by reciprocating and following them in return.
You will receive many thanks right back at you.
I guarantee it!!

Every day I welcome all the Premium members and have since June, so I never expected to have so many people that were following me that I was not following back. There were probably 50.

Wow, thanks for pointing that out to me as well. I just connected with many people that I thought I had already connected with! Seems that sometimes when I click on the "follow me", I need to click a second time for it to register properly.

Don't worry, Cassi, I've run into that many times. I am following around 72K members and am being followed by about 9,100. This post makes me want to check again to see if anyone has been overlooked. Thanks!

It's not as bad as you think--I'm sure a lot of the starters never converted--and several have probably dropped out along the way. Nevertheless, I'm on the computers lot writing my books on one, Ebay on another, and WA on the third--so I swivel around in the chair a lot. Often times my business has a good day. so I am free to go take care of that too!

Wow cass I hadn't seen this although I follow everyone that I see when I am reading posts. I feel terrible I'd someone is following me and I haven't reciprocated, so thanks for the head up.
