When I looked at my website online is showing an information icon telling people that the site is not secured. Did I do something wrong when I created the website?
You need an SSL certificate. I think wealthy affiliate will provide it for the first year for free. Many other hosting companies will provide for one year for free. We charge a $20 lifetime fee for free. But we don't sell to wealthy affiliate members. There are many other people out there who will sell to you however.
Where do you go within the WA program to get the SSL certificate, thank you for the information.

I would like to add a free pdf download into my website for new beginners. For example WA guide program for people going through my website.

if i purchase a domain before, can I use it here?
Yes. You have an option to change the DNS address at the place where you bought the domain and simply point it to the WA servers.
That way your domain account stays where it is but you can still host your website at WA.
OR, you can transfer the domain registration to WA, but you must have owned the domain for at least 60 days before you can transfer it. Plus you will need to pay a full year to WA, so check the renewal date on your domain and transfer it closer to that date so you don't pay an overlap. ~Jude
