Live to be 100!

So 10 weeks ago I finally kicked smoking (for good this time) started working out 4 times a week and I just finished a two week cleanse. I've also started juicing a pile of vegetables and fruit everyday and am staying away from "man-made" foods in general. I never thought I'd be one of "those" people but I feel AMAZING and stronger than I think I've every felt. I'm really encouraged by the changes I see so far and am convinced I'll live to be 100 :-)

Congratulations. I am working on changing my food choices too. What kind of juicer are you using, if you don't mine me asking.

I have a Breville Juice Fountain....works quite well

Bryce, great job. Unfortunately for me, I relate more to Mark Twain, "Quitting is easy, I do it after every smoke" But I need to do it for real. I would be interested in knowing how you did it.

Also, would you be willing to share your juicing recipes?

Thanks! I really found using the ``patch`` worked quite well for me. Also, check out http://blog.williams-sonoma.com/30-days-of-juicing/ for some great juicing recipes.

Well done Bryce! Giving up is actually the easy part. Staying away from starting again is the tricky part. Prepare yourself mentally for a possible relapse and don't give in to it. Good luck!

Thanks Theo!

Great new habits! Staying away from processed foods is probably the best way to improve your diet. I'm also doing that. Never smoked, but was a sugar junkie. Kicked that habit. It's addictive, like smoking, so no more cake and ice cream for me. The cleanse is a great idea too. Bravo!

Thanks Joan! My new rule of thumb is if my Grandmother doesn't recognize it as food...I don't eat it.

Good Luck, Have been fortunate not to have to fight that addiction. Well done for quitting, and all the best for your new lifestyle!

Yes quitting smoking was a long up hill battle but I think I have it licked this time. Thanks for the encouragement!

Good job! Congratulations on making so many healthy choices. You inspire us all.

The beginning is the hardest. But now that I see results I'm really encouraged and I look forward to my new habits.

Many congratulations on kicking the smoking and your new healthy habits. Glad you're feeling AMAZING! Think of all those things you';; be able to do with the added energy. Good luck

Thanks Beverley! It's defiantly a game changer for me. I was starting to feel old...now I'm bounding up stairs!

Nice work Bryce!

With your cleanse, did you buy a kit or simply read some info and went from there?
Been thinking about doing that as well.

Thanks Jay! I got the Botanica Restorative Cleanse Kit... It's a 2 Week Program consisting of various liquid tinctures. I got mine at Whole Foods for like $70 but you can get them online for less... http://www.nutraways.com/Restorative-Cleanse-Kit--2-Week-Program_p_7536.html

Thanks. I need the encouragement also. Fat boy needs to get healthier! Good job!

It really is easier than you may think! If you get a chance, watch a documentary called "Hungry for Change". It's on Netflix and it changed my life.

Congratulations! You're doing what I need to. Keep it up, you're an encouragement to others

Thanks Rick! After a while it becomes habit and part of your day. It is defiantly easier than I thought it was going to be...
