Do you share WA with friends and families
Do you share what your doing on WA with friends and family? I’d love to say I do but I don’t, is it the fact that they don’t really understand it, or is it the fact that you’ve tried different programs which for whatever reason didn’t work out and you fear there reaction?
I’m probably more in the camp that I’ll discuss it when I’m successful so I don’t have to explain too much, I must admit it would be good to bounce ideas with others find out what they think in a way that’s what the community do here.
So I’d be interested to hear what you all do, are you lucky enough to have someone who understands what your creating and what you will achieve at the end of your journey.
I’m just getting on building and enjoying all of it even if I may be doing it on my own I’m still happy.
Have a good evening all

At first I was nervous to say anything to anyone. Finally, I decided to tell my husband. I have his full support. He encourages me every day. He's Very interested in WA.
As for the others in my family. I've mentioned it to them. Some have visited my site and been very supportive. And then again, some have told me they never would have thought I could have done something like this, and have never spoken an encouraging word about it.
So I would say, closest family and friends... yes

I am lucky enough that I have a husband who understands the 'entrepreneurial' side of me. Although he is not affiliated with WA, he doesn't question hours spent here, or 'what are you doing' although he may be secretly wondering if I am ever going to make any money. He is a much better writer/blogger than I am so sometimes I will bounce ideas off of him. He probably knows more about my niche than I do but he keeps his opinions to himself unless I ask him something.
If he weren't that way, I am sure I would keep it all to myself and go my merry way.
Like Derek below, my wife takes an interest, bu the minute I explain bounce rates, blogs and stats to do with the blog, here eyes glaze over, but then its the same in her work, I don't understand pharmacy, so the short answer to your question is
Not with friends of family.
I am in the camp that does not bother to waste my breath explaining to my wife. She wouldn't understand the concept.

My youngest is keen to know what I'm doing, beyond that, well I'm working away quietly!

My wife is aware that I am in WA, but that is about all, do talk to her about various bits and pieces. She does not think that I will make any money, must prove her wrong.
I’m in the ‘easier not to explain until successfull’ camp
However you have a very large WA family here to bounce ideas off. Try PMing some friends on here that you’ve connected with and see what you get back, I’m always up for bouncing ideas off
Best wishes
Heyday
I actually just really explained WA lately to my family (been here since January 2016) and for the same reasons you have just mentioned, I kinda kept quiet for a long time. My first two years were more of a procrastination than a work in progress...
They knew I was doing "something", but being a computer "geek" they never questioned what I was doing...
I started the SWAG in January 2018 and finally making some money a few months later, so I explained what it was. They don't really understand it but as long as I'm happy and keeping out of trouble it's OK :)
At least now they know.
The community is there for whenever I need help or advice anyway. It's what keeps this place so unique!
One day I'll get back to them and say "here look, I can quit my day job because I have enough with this online business to replace and surpass it!"
A lot of hard work is ahead, but hey, I know it works, just have to keep going forward!
Cheers!
