There are two tents you need to be successful on the Internet.

If you do not use the two tents, then it is hard to achieve success. You are setting yourself up to fail. I have seen people who had huge talent fail because of the lack of the two tents. I have also seen people succeed who might not have the best website or do the best SEO because of these two tents.

These tents should be strong enough to stand up under disappointment, self-doubt, being tired, lack of results and whatever else is thrown at them.

The first tent is being Persistent. Not being persistent is like being the man in the story “Acres of Diamonds.” Stopping just short of reaching a goal or walking away from a diamond mine.

Just as an example until, I started to be persistent at placing ads each time I worked on my business my business did not do much. When I started adding 10 new ads or social post or a mixture of them each time I worked online, my business started to take off. Yes, some ads worked, and some didn’t but only by continually being persistent was I able to find out which ones did.

By being persistent, I learned where to advertise and where not to. I also learned which social media post worked and which ones didn’t. Just that one thing, being persistent changed things drastically.

Being persistent and having daily task keeps you building your business.

The other tent is being consistent. Not working your business today and waiting a month to work on it again. It doesn’t matter if you have an hour a day, time on the weekend, or all day to work on your business. If you are not consistently working on your business, it is like running a race and stopping every few feet along the way. You lost the race not because of how fast you are but because of how you ran the race.

Just like is taught here at Wealthy Affiliate consistently working on your website, adding traffic, working on your SEO, posting to social media makes you money. Hit or miss does not.

I have repeatedly seen people who start spending time in the two tents change their business in a very short time from a dud to a money making website.

If you are being consistent and persistent and it doesn’t work then go through the training. The other big thing that can change your business is to find someone who is doing what you want to and ask them how what they are doing.

You will be surprised how many people on here will share with you what is working for them.
