This month of September, 2025, marks the 20th Anniversary of Wealthy Affiliate! Many of us who have been here for 10+ years have seen the progression of the platform. In this post I want to show you why Wealthy Affiliate & Affiliate Marketing Keeps Growing.

NOT ONLY GROWING BUT THRIVING

If you are a newbie and have any doubts of the validity of either affiliate marketing or Wealthy Affiliate, rest assured that affiliate marketing will always be a profitable way to earn income. As long as affiliate marketing continues to thrive, WA will keep growing.

How can I be certain of either of these projections? The more people order products online, the more affiliate marketing grows. This growth will need educated affiliate marketers to provide buyers with honest product reviews. This is what WA will teach you.

The above graph shows the worldwide interest in Affiliate Marketing from 2004 to present. I marked 4 key points using Google Trends' date finder. Wealthy Affiliate began September 2005. Then I joined WA August 2013. Next Covid-19 March 2020 and its end May 2023.

Did you notice the continued increase in interest during the 3 years of Covid and the spike shortly after that? Covid brought us lock downs and people spending more time at home, this drove up online sales. Once Covid was a thing of the past, online sales remained high.

AMAZON HAS ONE OF THE LARGEST AFFILIATE PROGRAMS

Though multiple online retailers use affiliate marketing, no one is bigger than Amazon. I'm sure most of you have seen Amazon trucks driving on our highways and delivery vans in our neighborhoods. Amazon is HUGE, especially in this area where I live in New Jersey.

The above Google Maps shows 10 major Amazon Hubs within 30 miles of where I live, noted by the Blue Star. Five major hubs are within 10 miles from me. All located near I-80 which starts in my town and ends in San Francisco and I-95 which travels the entire East Coast.

Amazon alone is a great indicator that affiliate marketing is thriving now in 2025. AM continues to be one of the most profitable digital marketing strategies, with steady growth made possible through e-commerce expansion from companies like Amazon, Walmart and many others.

In 2025 affiliate marketing is valued at $18.5 billion dollars, projected to grow to $31.7 billion dollars by 2031. North America dominates the market with 40% of total revenue. This is why Wealthy Affiliate & affiliate marketing will continue to grow for the foreseeable future.

The above image is a new Amazon fulfillment hub 5 miles from where I live. There are tens of thousands of facilities like this all over the world. That is a ton of products going out to billions of consumers, many who made purchases through an affiliate marketing review.

Though I am mainly focusing on Amazon in this post, there are so many other retailers big and small who are fueling this growth of the global Affiliate Marketing Industry. Stay with Wealthy Affiliate in the years ahead and you too can tap into this very profitable opportunity.
