How to Avoid Financial Troubles - Build Your Safety Net

Last Update: January 05, 2019

No matter where you live, people around you and perhaps you yourself, will experience financial hardship. You may lose your job, get furloughed, have to work without pay, or not get a raise. Are you prepared for events like these?

Just because you may have a good paying job or lots of money in the bank, does not mean that you will never experience a loss of money or even bankruptcy. I have personally seen people go from wealth to near poverty because of some unforeseen event.

What would you do if the company you have worked at for years was bought out and then downsized and/or moved far away? What would you do if your own brick and mortar business was destroyed by fire, an earthquake or some other natural disaster?

What if you were living paycheck to paycheck and a major medical problem occurred forcing you to stop working while your medical costs rise? Or maybe you get caught up in a workers strike or some stupid government shutdown like what is currently happening in the U.S.

Are you prepared for that unforeseen financial trouble that can happen at anytime and for a variety of reasons? It is not a good feeling to stress over how you will financially survive when you have very little to no income. But there is one way to prevent the stress of financial loss.

When you have your very own internet based business you can avoid financial troubles because YOU control the outcome and growth. Unlike a brick and mortar business, an online business is not harmed by natural disasters and your customers are worldwide.

What this means is that no matter what happens in your life and to the situation around you, an online business will continue to function without you having to directly work it. You could be doing anything and still be earning money. Sounds great, right?

But you must act NOW in order to have this financial safety net ready for those tough economical times. Too often people wait until it is too late before starting an Internet business. Why does this happen? Because many think that great wealth online will happen quickly.

Unfortunately this is not how any legitimate website business will operate. There are many factors that have to be created and established before the money making process can begin and this takes time and effort on your part. This is why you need to start NOW.

I am sure you probably have been approached at some point by a friend or family member trying to recruit you into their business opportunity. This way of making money is very problematic. Unless you can handle rejection, you do not want to make money like this.

Building your own website and being able to promote any kind of product or service you have an interest or passion for, is a much more rewarding way to earn income. And with a website there is no need for face-to-face contact with your potential customers.

This eliminates the rejection experience. Gone are the days where you have to be a salesperson to convince others to buy from you. Now all you need to do is recommend things to other people and if they accept, you make money.

This simple process is known as Affiliate Marketing and this is what Wealthy Affiliate (WA) teaches to all of their members. The majority of people with a website or blog are making money in this way because it is easy to operate and will run itself when fully set up.

But as I said earlier, there are many factors that need to be in place in order for you to earn an income. Do not wait until you lose your job to start your own unique website business. Affiliate Marketing sales will be a 6.8 billion dollar per year industry by 2020.

This way of making money is far more popular than you can imagine. The reason why affiliate marketing is a financial boom for people with a website and blog is that retail companies like Amazon and others will pay people to promote the products they sell.

Have you ever seen a neighbor who has a nice house or drives luxury cars but never seems to go to work? This person is probably an affiliate marketer and receives passive income every month from a company that makes sales on their retail website.

All you have to do is look at how the majority of consumers buy products nowadays. Most people buy online than they do going to the actual store. Stores like Kmart, Sears and Toys R Us with no big website presence are now either shutdown or in bankruptcy.

Seeing how it will take up to a year before anyone with an affiliate marketing website can start earning consistent income, waiting until you are in financial distress to start maybe too late. As we can see here in the U.S. and elsewhere around the world, financial loss is on the rise.

YOU can prevent yourself from becoming a victim of a loss in income. Though you do not have a crystal ball to foresee when you may lose your job or when you may even get a job, you do have a way to create a financial safety net for you and your family.

Once you become an affiliate marketer with any online retailer, you can create a second or even a primary source of income. Eventually you will begin earning passive income and could grow to a level that allows you to work from home. Wealthy Affiliate can help you do this.

There is no other affiliate marketing education and website building experience that can match what Wealthy Affiliate offers. Many WA members experience success and the cost of everything you need is only $49.00 USD per month. A great way to create your safety net!

Just read SleeperF's comments, and he did make some good ones...but we cannot live by "what ifs." We have to go with what we believe in and hope it will be our salvation. I think we have a far better chance of making something good out of WA than out of anything else I've come across out there. And, whatever we do, we will find some problems or challenges. I think we minimize those with WA.

For my part, I intend to ride the WA wagon as far as it will take me.

Yes he did and if you read my reply I basically said what you just commented...but in a more drawn out way. lol

We cannot operate in today’s technology world by worrying too much about tech problems, they are going to happen regardless.

Fortunately what we have here at WA helps to shield us from most of these potential problems. This is one of the reasons why more people succeed here than elsewhere.

I'm not sure I entirely agree with your assessment. I think there are several factors that you need to take into consideration when looking into affiliate marketing.

Hackers can be a big problem in the online world, and while not every site will be hacked, there is potential for that to happen. Hacking can be just as destructive as an earthquake or fire that would destroy a brick-and-mortar building.

(I'm not saying this will happen, but) what will one do if the internet goes completely out? If there is no longer a world wide web, then you've truly lost your business (to be fair, if the internet does go, there are a lot of other major problems that will probably be bigger than losing a website).

What about Google algorithms? Facebook/YouTube blocking/disbanding people? Theme's breaking and websites crashing?

On the flip side, I do think that affiliate marketing is a way to go - but I don't think it is the only way to go. I don't see affiliate marketing as having less risk than any other business idea (granted, I'm still 'young in the force', so what do I know :D)

IF the internet were to go down, and that’s a big if, both online and offline businesses will greatly suffer because brick and mortar businesses rely on the internet to function as well.

Even though the extent of loss would not be as great, banking, security, accounting, energy, product ordering and returns all rely in some part or whole on the internet.

However the chances of the entire internet going dark are less than a person losing their job. When you are in a job that you have no control of your destiny, having your own website business gives you that control.

Learning and mastering technology will never be perfect but for the most part it can be done. Google’s algorithms are not that hard to understand. SEO is only difficult to those who overthink the process.

But people will always have problems with technical issues, it is the nature of operating in a technical world. You just have to learn from what does not work and find ways that will. If not you will be on the outside looking in.

Just look at what I mentioned above about Kmart, Sears and Toys R Us. They did not embrace the technical changes of doing retail and had a very small internet presence. Now they are either out of business or going bankrupt.

Yes there are always factors to consider when starting any kind of online business, but not much more than you would starting a brick and mortar. There will always be risks but if you don’t take a chance you may never see success.

I’ve lost my last two jobs and was asked to tender my resignation in a political way. Anyway, I’ve to thank them. If not, I’ll be still dreaming about having a permanent stable job until retirement.
Hence, I’m building my future passive life-long income right now! I want to have a portion of that big pie!
Thank you for sharing, Rob! :o)

You are welcome Terand. Though it is always best to create a new source of income when one is still employed to help cover the cost, creation can happen during unemployment too. Thanks to the low cost of operating through WA, this helps keep expenses low as we learn and build our future business.

Hi Rob you are so right about business off line or on line. I'm completely new to on line and have very little to no teck knowledge.
I'm now on a learning curve and I have to give myself time. I enjoy a challenge.
I'm going to follow you and tap into some of that expertise you have in on line business.

Everything new has a learning curve but what is great about the WA training is that it makes the curve easier to learn. The training lessons are easy to understand for no one with tech experience and if you still cannot absorb it, you can take the lesson again and again, as well as ask questions.

You are very right..most know i was one of the what ifs. What if u lost ur job..what if u had a med ..what if most certainly happened
Now i am on a mission to be my own ceo...boss..income maker however ju want to say and affiliate marketing and wa are 2 of the best choices i made last year ☺☺
I will never go back to what if
boomergp08 Premium
Congratulations on those two choices. With the right amount of determination and effort, you will eventually experience success. I remember what I used to dream and think when I was where you are now. Just keep moving forward, it will get better.

Do not dwell on the "what ifs" because they will keep you from experiencing the joys of being your own boss. Also do not get distracted by other so called opportunities and shiny objects that claim quicker easier wealth. They too will hinder your progress.
