How to get going when you're Flat
How to get going when you’re Flat by Robert T Manly
The new day was upon me as I stirred in my bed but I could feel the challenge of the day was to get myself going as I could feel the flatness, yes, you know what I mean, there was no zap in my zip or no zip in my zap, and I had to kick start myself to get any benefit out of the day.
Now, I have studied all sorts of motivational stuff, the Tony Robbins, Dennis Waitly and the list goes on but today was different and I had to do something to get myself producing so the day would not be totally fruitless.
As I laid there in bed I said to myself ‘well Bob to start somewhere momentum is the obvious choice and get the normal first out of bed things out of the way”. So I crawled out of bed and got that part of the list out of the way. “Good” I concluded “what now”?
The kettle being handy I reckoned a nice hot cup of tea or coffee would be the shot so that was on the way as I then thought a good breakfast would help to propel me out of this flatness as a lot of people say nothing like starting the day with a solid foundation in your stomach.
Upon finishing my breakfast and considering why I was tired and flat the diet balance was considered so the next step was to grab one of those Multi-vitamin bombs that are available where ever you are in the world. After having this and a large glass of filtered water there was a gain in momentum which was very promising.
In the mornings most people feel a bit stale and this was no different with me but I knew that to help fight this little battle there is nothing so liberating as a shave, shower and a good brush of my teeth and gargle.
I was coming alive at last so I reckoned that if a grabbed a bottle of water and had a brisk walk around the block that this would bring me up to full throttle with my enthusiasm and zest thus and the day would produce the results that I was aiming for.
So the day was off to a flyer now and I have noticed that keeping up your water (3.2Ltrs) for the day and regular breaks from the computer Helps to further my efficiency but that’s a whole new subject.
Hope this simple “kick start” can help some one some where.
Best Regards
Robert Manly

Absolutely I have days like this! It's very much discipline and "forcing" oneself to get going!! Sometimes, not easy, I know!
Best Wishes to you in 2016!
Thanks for the comment and you are so right about discipline and forcing yourself but each persons circumstances can differ tremendously and unfortunately for some it seems impossible to overcome.
Any help at these times with simple baby steps can mean a terrific accomplishment and any progress is good progress so if one person benefits with this I have achieved my goal.
Best Regards

Hi Bob so may things can help a person but you know the thing that gets me going every morning is to open my phone and to get involved with the group and to reply to questions and to see how I am moving up in the rankings and that is my kick start!
