Getting Started at WA

Start your training with Entreprenuer Certifiation and take it a step at a time. When I started with WA I was leading a team of writers and ameture developers who were developing a website of a major international conservation conference being held in Honolulu.

When anyone on my team got stuck, I had to find an answer. WA was my savor. I'd always get an answer to my problem within minutes. However my skip around approach to solving our problems set me back. I learned a lot fast, but it wasn't till I started training step-by-step that I started making progress in IM (Internet Marketing).

I started developing websites for others. It paid the bills but didn't create the long term, passive income I wanted. Jay (Majistudios) taught me to charge a monthly maintenance retainer and that helped.

Now, I take my training a step at a time and implement what I learn as I go along. I've actually started taking the certication course again. It's going faster because I've learned so much, but I am also picking up points I missed on the first hurried go round.

I find taking good notes about the talking points in the training helps me go back when I need to check details or share the training with a client. I use Evernote for taking notes because of Evernote's fantastic search capabilities. Evernote has a very capable free version and there is lots of good training on YouTube.

I have a note where I record my your sitemap including all my posts. That is in Evernote. I use AirTable to record information about each post: what key word was used in the post, when and where it was published. What other potential keywords where used in that post? It helps me check rankings and know what internal links I can set up.

AirTagle is also free. It is a relational data base set up to look like a spread sheet. It is the easiest database I have found. It has good training and support. Why and when to use a database rather than a spreadsheet is a whole other subject and not one for WA.

When you have questions ask them in the search bar in the black bar at the top of each screen.

Remember,
you are in business. You want people to find your websites and know
what you do. If people cannot find you you have no business. Fill out
your profile and include you websites and your social media handles. It
will help us get to know you.

I have been criticised by some WAers who think I have no right to tell them what to include in the profile. They say they value their privacy and don't want to share contadt infomration. Of course, what to include in your profile is up to you. I just don't understand how people who do not want to share personal information can hope to build a business that is based on building trusting relationships with others.

I work from home. I share my personal home address on my website. That is my personal choice. It may not be smart, but it is my choice. I think it gives people the feeling that I am a legitimate business and not just a dropbox somewhere.

Why did I write this blog to beginners? 1. I can use this link to introduce my new followers to getting started with WA and 2. I can use the link on social media to introduce my SM followers and 3. I can share it with any WA members I sponsor.

Get started, even before you have your own website, by bogging here at WA. From a newbie point of view write about you dreams, why you are here at WA, what successes you have and what problems you overcame. Write about the milestones you have set for yourself and what you are doing to reach your mile stones. Don't look at how far you have to go. Look at how far you have come.

This post was inspired by some one who asked for my help to get started.

I wrote them a few lines. I included that comment in the opening of this post and then went on to fill out the blog post.

WA rejected my post because I had cut and pasted the first paragraph of this post from the comment I left. I wnet back and removed the comment so I could have this post accepted.

You shall soon cross the winning line!
Never stop, no matter what!
God bless!

As always I love your blogs. thank you for your inspiration.

Good, thanks a lot.

Thanks for sharing, Bill.

My brother your strategy is my strategy this is exactly what I am doing now heang it from you makes me feel even better thank you so much for your story May the road to Prosperity remain at your feet

One Step at a time

Bill,

I am sort of lost at this point. For the corporate companies I worked for and was successful, the managers understood what my challenge was. ADHA...even at my age. But when all the noise begins to quiet, and I finally catch on...I became top sales in our nation. Last company...Clearwire LLC here in Hawaii. Thanks for the post. Need personal guidance...can you assist me?

I don't know much about ADHA but I do know that blocking my time in 30 minute increments and taking a break helps me get more done. Knowing my most important thing in life and working on that a half hour a day gets more done than trying to cram all should have done all week into a Saturday.

I have so many great mentors here at WA. You will find them too. So far as my assistance, I will do what I can. What Kukua do you need?
Aloha, Bill

Like a homeless person that is willing to accept handouts...I'll take anything from those whom I feel can be trusted. I know there are a lot of really intelligent web builders here. But I also notice that they will give you there time is you are serious. I just came out of a needed break...I can burn myself at both ends of the candle. That's my bad for not using good time management. ADHD is also fingerprinted for everyone of us. For me....the acute attention span is so intense, that I lose the ability to remember after. A much needed break is due. Then I go to another learning model...and so forth. But I know for sure. And I believe I can afford it. Purchasing the yearly subscription is practical and that will occur. I did direct sales all my life. Face to Face. Always (after I begin to grasp what the sales model is, and product knowledge)...I had become top sales of any company I worked for.

I think I've answered what I "kokua" I need. And actually see the value of my comments as actually being a "Niche" so to speak. If I didn't answer the above and you haven't read my response from the original private platform...let me know'
