Calling all the Brits.

Hello everyone, I have met many lovely people in the WA community from all over the world and learned so much from the ambassadors, higher ranked members and others by reading their questions. I love being part of this community and I will continue to contribute where I can. The reason I have started my blog in this way, is to set the scene, so everyone knows where I am coming from.

The majority of WA members I believe are from the United States and Canada, and the smaller communities like us Brits follow on the directions set by by these communities. That's not a bad thing, but there are variance's in our different countries.

I have found connections to many British people here in WA, and I think we all enjoy being part of each others networks. I have even found some Manchester United supporters! But we have no idea of how many Brits we have, and we could be missing some good information by not connecting.

It occurred to me that maybe the Brits could have unique insights to internet affiliate marketing that works best in the UK, and we could possibly offer more direct help and assistance to each other, particularly to new starters who can get overwhelmed by all this and eventually quit.

Another area that we could all benefit from is recruiting in our own country, by showing we have a big presence in WA, we will encourage others to take a look. Can you imagine telling people you are part of a network of 50 or 100 like minded people all here in the UK, what would that do for your chances of getting to LA?

I hope no-one finds this blog offensive in any way, and if you do please comment, I certainly do not want to separate the Brits in any way from everyone else!

My idea is to form a register of all of us Brits to share ideas and skills to all of our mutual benefit, if you think this is a good idea please leave a comment and I if there are enough of us interested I will collate all the names and forward the list to everyone.

This is only the start though, by sharing ideas and skills who knows where this will lead, so if you have an idea already lets hear about it today!

Hi Bill I do not feel offended for no matter which country we are part of a international community on here, I am in Scotland and the Uk is not big so we can link up to by making sure we add each other it is also worth remembering chamber of commerce run courses to help and if your like me in Scotland business gateway do some useful social media ones in fact soon I am going to SEO one to and it feels good to know that what I am learning in WA shows me how much I have learned when I attend this additional workshops hope that makes sense

Yes perfect sense, all learning is good and you never know when it will be required. You are on the list Katie.

Hi Bill,

I think that's a great idea I don't know how many brits are on here but if there was a fay to find out it would be handy. Just for the record I'm from Essex.

Hello My Essex friend, your on the list. You are the first member who I am not following, I am now.
Bill

I'm from Jersey but still have a British passport! It's nice to communicate with people without adding the occasional Z and leaving out the U's lol

Hi Mark, you are on the list, my computer changes all my words (realize) for me, I have to change them over to correct them. LOL

That's what happens when we use such a speciali(s)ed and colo(u)rful language :)

Hi Bill! I'm in the United States however; think that what you are doing is a great idea! The potential to build niche communities within the WA community is a wonderful idea! You can share things with each other that may not quite be relevant to other parts of the world. This would mean that the whole community of WA would become stronger! Nice way of thinking out of the box my friend!

Thanks for your positive comments Sharon, it has been suggested by Janice that it will be great to be able to get hold of someone in the same time zone rather than wait for the other part of the world to wake up. This could be applicable for anyone. It will be interesting how this will evolve.
Bill

Absolutely Bill and one area this can benefit is with regard to time zone. Anyone needing help early in the day may be able to find another Brit online to help!

Janice, I just knew you would come up with a good suggestion, thanks. For that reason alone this is proving to be a good idea. You are on the list.
Bill

Glad I qualified! ;) Te, he.

I'm an Indonesian, so where will I put myself Bill? he.he.he..
Just kidding! Great idea Bill.. ;-D

If ever you are in the UK Gusti you are very welcome to join us.
Bill

Maybe I will Bill!
hmmm.. I think I should PM Tanti, so both of us could start the same as the Brits (we got more benefits you know since there only two of us so it'll more easy to coordinate one another) Huh! Game on Brits!
lol.. ;-D

Hi Bill,

You can count me in, I don't that there is very much different between us in the UK and our colleagues in North America, Canada or Australia and New Zealand either.

I guess our sales copy tends to be more reserved which is our nature but that's changing. I'm happy to share what I've learned over the last 17 years now online.

Trevor

Thanks Trevor your on the list, you are probably right regarding differences but there may be differences in other areas we can exploit. As you say we do write slightly more reserved, is this a good thing or not?
Bill

Hi Bill.I think that is a great idea also.I was currently creating a new apple id account as I loaded a cd with 50,000 photos different categories which I am giving out if anyone needs them for their websites.I had to open an apple id acoount in order to open the i cloud, let me know if you need any imges.

Thank you Tom for your comment and also for your offer of images, I am sure we can use a couple of them on our No smoking site. This is exactly what we are looking for, sharing.
Bill

Hi Bill - I'm from Scotland, so depending on what happens in September, I may not be a "Brit" for much longer :) Do I still count??

cheers, Mark

ha ha! of course Mark, regardless of the outcome of the vote our countries are linked in families, jobs, where we work etc. etc. and now we are linked in WA. Knowing your skills Mark, I am very pleased to be able to add you to our list.
Bill

Cracking idea old chap! I'm on-board. I have wondered if what works in the US or Canada might differ to what would work in the UK. Will be interested to see how this will develop.

Thanks Steve your the first on the list, it will be very interesting to see where this goes and also, how many Brits do we have in our WA community.
